    Need help with rifle choices

Re: Need help with rifle choices I have a bone stock LTR in .223 and it has been great! It is my coyote gun and actually killed a couple whitetail with headshots. 69 gr. SMK's have treated me real well. I found it used for $550 from a guy that felt he had to shoot light bullets and couldn't...

Hide Members, Any of you have intel on a good barrel length for a 6.5x47L with a can? Don't want to lose too much velocity shortening the barrel, but don't want to carry a shovel handle barrel either.

    Scotch question

Re: Scotch question It shouldn't be around THAT long to worry about storage, but before it's opened, it should be stored like wine keeping the cork submerged preventing evaporation. Try Lagavoulin and Dalwhinney when you are ready to upgrade from the Glen.

Re: The legend of the 1/2 MOA Savage I think you should double check your reloads and practice more. Hopefully you didn't get a bad rifle, but its possible with any brand and any custom. Odds are certainly less with the latter.

Hunting & Fishing Why shoot coyotes?

Re: Why shoot coyotes? We see that problem in MT. all the time. Livestock are hit hard as well in the spring with the calves especially. What else are you going to shoot in the dead of winter. I heard the hides are finally worth something this year too.

Maggie’s best bull shizzle someone told you and was serious

Re: best bull shizzle someone told you and was serious The best one I heard from a former soldier was that a General pulled him from the Motor pool and "Personaly" trained him as a sniper and that he ran around the sand dunes shooting people. I think his German wife still buys it to this day!!

6.5 Creedmoor vs 7mm WSM hunting rifle

Re: 6.5 Creedmoor vs 7mm WSM hunting rifle The 7 allows for additional room for error in the shot. I think it would depend on where the majority of hunting will be and the range most shots will be at. That bein said, I am a big fan of the 6.5's. I have read alot of opinions that state the...
