Re: Best scope ring mount for 338 lapua
Go Badger! 338 LM means long range. Get a 20 or 30 moa one piece base and match with the USMC M40A3 or Max 50 rings and you'll be happy. American Defense makes a great mount but on a bolt gun it will be too high.
OK maybe this is whining but it really annoys me when the firearm facts in a book are wrong. In movies I expect "theatrics" but in a book written by an expert I hope for solid facts. I just finished "The Red Circle" by Brandon Webb and enjoyed the book as a whole but some of the firearm...
Re: I'll gove Katy Perry some props.
I'm impressed. When she married that British limp wrist I bunched her with the rest of the Hollywood POS. May be I was wrong. Have to keep and eye on her there may be a real american girl in there after all.
Re: lapping scope rings
You are going to get opionions all over the place on this one. My personal protocol is to lap every pair of rings I mount and have found even the most expensive rings have improved contact after lapping. I like knowning that the scope is not being torqued by...
Re: ammo question for a m14/m1a
Your freind is a moron. Federal GGM is formulated with medium powders to be shot through any platform. My 3 M1A's will agree.
Re: A.R.M.S. #22 rings. Anyone else had this problem?
Update. Replacement rings arrived today via UPS. No cost and a 9 dy turn around with Thanksgiving. Could not ask for more. A.R.M.S. rocks.
Re: Looking for ACOG-type reticle in a tube-body scope
I've been looking at theis same issue for my SOCOM 16. I don't like the scout scope concept. Here are two scopes you may like:
Burris 1.5-6 XTR
IOR Valdada 1.5-8
Re: A.R.M.S. #22 rings. Anyone else had this problem?
I really don't think I'll have any issues with the replacement. The fracture looks to be a metallurigical issue. I just wondered if this was common.
So I go a set of A.R.M.S. #22 low rings fro Brownells. The first time I mount them the lever shaft breaks. Everything was seated and yes it felt tight but to break under hand pressure? I was a little surprised. I'm just wondreing if any one else has issues with A.R.M.S. rings or mounts...
I wanted to post a recent interaction I had with Springfield Armory and their customer service. I was at Camp Perry the first week of August and gave the custom shop a springfield M1A reciever I had to have a Kreiger Heavy SS barrel installed. The rep at Camp Perry was very knowledgable and...
Re: AR PARTS
Wildbill would you please explain what you need. Have you broken something, designed the next great AR part and need a manufacturer, or need something you can't find? Some background will get you the help you need.
Re: Olympic Arms?
I used to be a hugh Oly fan. I own 2 Olympic rifles that I have built over the years. Last year I ordered an upper; it took 4 months to get and I could never get a response to any e-mails as to if or when it would arrive. When it came it was out of spec. I sent it back and...

Re: Great, did I buy the wrong ammo......?
You own a 7.62x51. Correct caliber (Bore Diameter). Wrong cartridge. The stuff you bought should not chamber.
Sorry.
