While the mil system is not really based on the metric system......1 mil =10cm @100 yards or .1 mil = 1cm @100 yards so I can see a relation to the metric system.
I personally would say screw the budget. You already have 6k into a rifle and are looking at 1k glass. I would at LEAST look at the SWFA SS HD or a Vortex Razor...at MINIMUM. A rifle in the 6k range should be treated with upper tier glass.
I am going to be buying a scope for my first precision rig. I am going with a vortex razor hd 5-20 with the ebr-2 reticle. I can find the 5 mil turrets in stock but the 10 mil turrets seem to either be sold out everywhere or much more expensive (over $140 more) than places that have the 5 mil in...
The Kestrel 4500 has exactly what you are looking for. It detects wind speed, wind direction, and cross wind which is what I think you are looking for.
I was well aware of the possibility of the bit included in the borka kit not working. No fault of yours. I am a little surprised Accuracy International does not offer a part for purchase for tightening action screws as a simple allen/hex won't be able to torque to proper spec. Before it is all...
I have a Borka tool kit with the included AICS 3/16 bit but my chassis appears to be the newer version where this bit will not fit without removing the skins. What are you guys with the newer chassis systems using to tighten your action screws without having to remove the skins or where can I...
I have a 700 bdl in 30-06 that was my go to deer hunting rifle years ago. Since then I have moved on to other rifles and that rifle now just sits. I was thinking about a rifle in .260 and was wondering if my 700 long action would work with the .260 being a short action cartridge? I would assume...
There is nothing wrong with badger. I was just wanting to match the rings with the base and honestly I am not a fan of the badgers rings. They may perform flawlessly but the mounting nut is what turns them off to me.
As of 2 yesterday per my emails they do not have them in stock.
"Good Morning,
Yes we have the rings in stock and ready to ship. However the base is sold out.

I am wanting to scope my 700 using seekins rings and base. I have no problem locating the rings but I can not find the base in stock anywhere so I am seeking your help. So far I have checked the hide and ar15.com vendors with no luck. An email to seekins was returned today saying they are out of...
My understanding is they are leo/mil only now. I have been reading that in several places. One guy stated he had an FFL that could get him just about anything and he told him "they are leo/mil only now, if you got one you were lucky." If you do find one somewhere you had better jump on it FAST...
The height measurements would work. Badger is one of the rails I was considering in the first place. I don't have the scope yet so for the time being I am going by comments I have read about shooters with the Razor needing to raise the scope height due to the higher cheek piece. I won't mind...
I am doing my first build and I am going with a Razor HD for glass. The action (R700 short action) is set in an AICS 1.5 chassis. I have been looking at rings and really want to use the Vortex Razor rings since they are steel. They are listed at 1". I think with the AICS and the taller cheek...
I just put together a new rifle and now I am looking at glass. I am about 99% set on a Razor HD with the EBR-2 mrad reticle. Basically I don't want to sell myself short and would like any input on any scopes I should check out before I pull the trigger. My requirements are NEW. I am just not...
Warrenton here, 45 miles West of STL. on highway 70. What range are you referring to and how far? Owensville? I was a member of benchrest (8 miles from my house) until this year. Dues went up and I did not go enough to justify the $250 per year membership. Bench Rest Rifle Club in case anyones...
