    Suppressors AAC 7.62 SDN-6 wiggleage?

Re: AAC 7.62 SDN-6 wiggleage? Try making sure the mount is nice and clean and see if it will go the extra notch. Can be a pain in the ass keeping it that clean, but I have seen a couple grains of unburned powder or grit cause the can to not get that last notch or two.

    Ogive question

Re: Ogive question Try using a wood dowel run down the barrel to push the bullet back and forth, in and out of the throat when using the Hornady or whoevers OAL guage. It gives you a better "feel" for where you start getting contact on the throat. A little extra pressure can cause 10 to 15...

    Reloader15 and 175smk

Re: Reloader15 and 175smk I shoot 43.5gr of RL-15 under a 175 SMK in Lapua brass and it shoots great, I have noticed that it seems to shoot better with CCI BR-2s in my Sako than Fed 210Ms. My rifle seems to show pressure with the same load though when it gets above 85 degrees or so.

    ..

Re: Have you ever blown the base clean off? I have seen it on an M14 that was shooting very brittle Lake City Match ammo from the 70s (it have been reloaded a LOT) but I've never seen more than a cracked neck in a bolt gun.

Gunsmithing Sling stud repair/reinforcement DIY project

Re: Sling stud repair/reinforcement DIY project I've used an aluminum plate before too, but thats a great simple fix if your wanting to strengthen just a sling swivel. Well done.

Gunsmithing Where did these springs fall out of on my Rifle!!?

Re: Where did these springs fall out of on my Rifle!!? whats funny is when you include the spring out of a ballpoint pin, or a tiny length of wire on a buddies kit. Sit back and enjoy the confusion before you tell them whats up. Have a beer or be ready to run when you tell them though.

Gunsmithing Pics of adjustable LOP mod to my remy 5R

Re: Pics of adjustable LOP mod to my remy 5R I just saw the part about the Limbsaver "melting" I had one do that in a drag bag that sat vertically on the pad for a while. I called SIMS and they said that they had a bad batch of the rubber about 2 1/2-3 years ago (exactly when I bought mine)...

Gunsmithing The Anderson Knob is out!

Re: The Anderson Knob is out! Nice product and all but thats a CRAZY complicated post for something as simple as a bolt knob. CNC machined eye candy is what I look for in a post like this. I love watching the chips fly.

Rifle Scopes TRG ring height.... sorry....

Re: TRG ring height.... sorry.... All true about the rings being suited to the shooters body, that said the TRG stock is much more comfortable to me, when I have the scope absolutely as low as I can get it. I have a 50mm objective thats maybe an eighth of an inch off the barrel and I still...

    Cooper Arms Rifles

Re: Cooper Arms Rifles My Cooper 6.5x284 shoots just like El Gordos, Its a one hole rifle. My Cooper in .223 shoots the same. I had a 6PPC and a .22PPC that I couldn't seem to get to shoot very well (I know, strange given the chamberings?) I also have a Cooper .22-250 that seems to be coming...

Gunsmithing need to find sako or tikka action

Re: need to find sako or tikka action Sako TRG-S rifles can be found for as little as 4-500 COMPLETE sometimes. As worthless as Gander Mountain is, I have seen a couple TRG-Ss in .30-378 for that cheap. Shitcan the stock and barrel and you have a NICE action for a build.

    Hey Sako TRG 22 Owners...

Re: Hey Sako TRG 22 Owners... I REALLY recommend that you reload, but as far as factory ammo, mine likes 175gr SMKs a lot. So Black Hills is probably your best bet for factory ammo thats pretty easy to find.

What is a safe target for a .50 cal?

Re: What is a safe target for a .50 cal? Also, not sure if you have any coal mines near you, but mines typically use AR400 or 500 plate to make chutes and stuff for big coal handling plants. If you ask real nice like, they have been known to give away scrap pieces which, as thick as they use...

What is a safe target for a .50 cal?

Re: What is a safe target for a .50 cal? Also keep in mind that if you shoot a lot of tracer or incendiary stuff it will burn wood with the quickness. Old Railroad ties work great to pile dirt into for a berm but they burn like a son of a bitch once they catch fire and God help you if its...

    barrel crown question

Re: barrel crown question Get a nice bright light and a magnifying glass and see if the metal inside the barrel there is distorted or shows a burr in any way. It almost looks like someone tapped it with a screwdriver to f*#& it up. I had an old barrel on a .223 700 that I was cutting down...

    Cleaning a Badger FTE brake

Re: Cleaning a Badger FTE brake If it bothers you, Slip 2000 choke tube cleaner is AWESOME at eating carbon off. It also smells like oranges which isn't too bad either.
