    Replacement bumpers really do help!

My dad bought a 2003 F350 brand new ten years ago and put Tough Country front and rear replacement bumpers on it the day he got it. He's told me stories of him hitting deer and hogs on the ranch but since I started driving it last year, I haven't had a first-hand experience of the toughness and...

    Hunting & Fishing "raaaaaaampage!!!"

Congrats Whiskey! I've had a few experiences like this one and let me tell you, it NEVER gets old! I'm a member of the "kill em all" crowd myself and you'll never hear my whining about the methods used to kill hogs. No one cries about the methods used to rid their homes of termites, roaches...

Photos First time hog hunting with dogs

Haha that's not the first time I've heard that believe me. I've been very fortunate my whole life to have always had a place to hunt. I can only pray that when I have kids they'll have the same blessing that I've had.

    Maggie’s Kapooya! Kapooya!

Agreed. At first I thought the Kapooya lady might be on par with Sweet Brown but I went back and watched the Sweet Brown video again and realized that she is WAY better. The Kapooya lady is still pretty good. I'm going to do my best to never type "Kapooya" or "Sweet Brown" again. I feel like...

Looks like we got a new Sweet Brown. Sadly, this took place right down the road from me. Making me proud of my hometown... Woman accurately describes a hail storm KAPOOYA! (ORIGINAL FOOTAGE) - YouTube

Photos First time hog hunting with dogs

Unfortunately this time we didn't get to get up close and personal to the hogs. We just sat outside the brush and waited for the hogs to run out. There were 4 four wheelers with 2 people on each one and 2 people running with the dogs through the brush. There were a couple times when we would...

Photos First time hog hunting with dogs

Her name's Kimber and she just hit 12 weeks on Thursday. I want her to be a hunting dog and I figured bird dogs were too common so I'm going to be training her to hunt Whitetail sheds. She's a great dog and believe it or not she was the last one left in the litter of 6 yellow labs. I don't know...

Photos First time hog hunting with dogs

My cousin called some guys out to his farm yesterday to run dogs so I decided to tag along and see what it was like. It was probably the most fun I've ever had hog hunting. We hunted for 4 hours and got 16 hogs which isn't bad considering you NEVER see hogs on the property. We're trying to...

    LMT SOPMOD Monopod

I tried it out last weekend and it worked great. It was very stable but I had to make sure the bipod was loaded before I set the monopod into place or else it would change positions when I loaded the bipod. I'm trying to find a way to keep it from swiveling at the moment.

Hunting & Fishing South Texas Buck

I just showed those pictures to my dad and asked if he had ever heard of the Coates ranch. Turns out our property used to be part of the Coates ranch. I can't help but wonder if your grandpa shot that buck on our property.

Hunting & Fishing South Texas Buck

Man those are some awesome bucks! That one your grandpa shot is just outstanding. I'm really glad to see that for the most part it's a typical buck and not a bred "freak" as I like to call them with horns going all over the place. That's definitely a buck of a lifetime.

Lighter alternative to the Magpul PRS

I have an LMT SOPMOD on my 18" coyote/hog rifle and I love it. It balances well and feels great and everyone that has shot the rifle feels the same. I made a homemade monopod for the SOPMOD the other day so hopefully it will work.

    LMT SOPMOD Monopod

A few months ago a member by the name of "elfster1234" came up with a homemade for an LMT SOPMOD but it ended up not working very well. I decided to try it myself and made a couple changes that I think will help make it work. Here's what you need: 3/8" turnbuckle (it needs to be solid in the...

    RIP Pat P.

As some of you may already know, a Hide member and good friend of mine by the name of Pat Palmer, or "onedayer", passed away last Thursday. I met Pat for the first time back in August when I accepted an item from him in the Pay it Forward thread and from there our friendship grew tremendously. I...
