Re: Stock pack? The Eagle Pack looks nice, but I can get a BlackHawk like this for really cheap. Has anyone used one of these? Thanks.

    Fieldcraft First Ghillie (Pics)

Re: First Ghillie (Pics) No I wasn't actually in the suit. But it was in some mud. Like all things the suit gets darker when wet, but lightens again when it dries. The mud is the same, dark when mud, but dries to a light sand color...

    Fieldcraft First Ghillie (Pics)

Re: First Ghillie (Pics) But I've rolled it in the mud lol! In a week or so I'm going to a field and will see how the long dead grass is added to the suit. I put clumps of leaves and pine needles in the jacket, and it looked ok but the rubber bands stuck out a good amount.

    Fieldcraft First Ghillie (Pics)

Re: First Ghillie (Pics) I spent most of yesterday scraping it on a sidewalk, pounding into a pile of dirt and mud, and stomping on top of it while it was in a fire-pit (no fire present!!) Any comments on the amount of burlap? Too much too little? Thanks.

Re: First Ghillie (Pics) Thanks, I've found that the rubber-bands are sticking out more than I like. I'm thinking of trying to dye them or using inner-tube bands or something.

    Fieldcraft First Ghillie (Pics)

So I am (hopefully) nearing the completion of my first ghillie. It is a very basic and simple suit. At this time I have not put in any vents or anything like that. It will be used for turkey hunting in May, coyote and deer hunting later in the year and maybe paintball. All i really want is...

    Fieldcraft Some ghillie suit questions

Re: Some ghillie suit questions The jute on the arms goes down way past the elbow or just past it? And is the jute 12" long hanging off of the suit or looped in half so it hangs about 6" off the suit? I've heard you make some good suits, and I saw the post where someone didn't want to buy...

    Fieldcraft The Stalk & Recon

Re: The Stalk & Recon Hey shooter thats pretty cool. It would be awesome if you could videotape the stalk, but I know that's probably too much work to ask for. I'd love to see some pics of your ghillie though. Also, you said you stalked 1300m, how long did it take you until you got your...

    Fieldcraft Some ghillie suit questions

Hi guys, I'm working on my first ghillie suit right now. One question I had was where do you put the net/jute on the collar area? I'm using a bdu and wanted to know if you attach the net right over the collar, or pop the collar up and put netting over that, or if you just stop when you get to...

Rifle Scopes Bushnell Elite 3200 vs Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x

Re: Bushnell Elite 3200 vs Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x Ok thanks a lot you guys. My solution right now is to go with the Bushnell. I'll use it to get to know my gun, target shooting and perhaps some coyote hunting. When deer season opens up I'm going to get a hunting scope. Most likely a...

    Stocks for a non-heavy barreled 700?

Re: Stocks for a non-heavy barreled 700? By ltr do you mean a 700 lightweight target rifle? I thought they had heavy barrels? If not that sounds good to me thank you!

Rifle Scopes Bushnell Elite 3200 vs Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x

Re: Bushnell Elite 3200 vs Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x Hmm, I see what you're saying but I could use my 16ga. with slugs for hunting in the woods, and the rifle for when I'm in the field. The FOV at 100 yards should be around 11ft which should be easy to get a shot on a standing deer shouldn't it?

Rifle Scopes Bushnell Elite 3200 vs Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x

Hey everyone. I'm looking to get a mildot scope in the $200 range. Main use will be shooting out to 300 yards and hunting deer (rarely). I'm looking at both these scopes (the 10x40 Bushnell)and I can't decide between the two. I like how the Bushnell looks a lot more, and like how the fixed...

    Stocks for a non-heavy barreled 700?

Hello, I just bought a Remington 700 sps in .308. I'll use it for hunting as well as for target shooting. I opted against a heavy barrel because I thought carrying around the extra weight might dissuade me from taking it out sometimes, and I want to get a lot of use out of it. My question...
