anyone have any experience with these?
style 1840
i've been wearing matterhorn boots for years and have been thinking about moving to something lighter with a bit more flexibility for daily wear.
also, any good online sources for this style?
thanks.
Re: *First Look* Atlas Bipod V8
after thinking about it for a while now, i just placed an order for one of these... only to come here and see this thread.
looking forward to getting my V8 mounted on my nearly completed semi .308.
Re: BUIS / SN-3 T-PAL / Larue LT-111 Mount.
i ended up going with the USO 30mm 'high' rings... should hopefully have them this weekend. PN: P6M-3000-H
midway actually had them on clearance when i ordered and they seemed like a good deal.
putting a USO 3.2-17x44 T-PAL on top of an iron ridge upper with a DD 12.0 lite rail out front.
if i use the larue LT-111 30mm, will this combination allow me to tuck a set of troy backup iron sights under there?
any one with pics of a similar setup?
Re: USO SN3 3.2-17x44 vs. S&B 4-16x42 PMII
a listing in the 'for sale' section also just helped to make up my mind...
looks like it'll be an SN3 3.2-17x44 T-PAL.
Re: New Schmidt Bender scope
i haven't seen any mention of it but, are there any changes planned for the 4-16x42 PMII?
(not trying to take this off-topic)
Re: USO SN3 3.2-17x44 vs. S&B 4-16x42 PMII
is there any reason it would be necessary to step up from the 30mm to the 34 or 35mm tubes for this application?

i dropped you a PM about this. thanks.
Re: USO SN3 3.2-17x44 vs. S&B 4-16x42 PMII
thank you for so many replies on this topic.
as for reticles, in the USO i was considering the MIL Scale GAP or Mil Scale MPR and if i went S&B i would go with the P4L.
if they were still doing the GENII XR in the S&B, that would surely be another...
i've come to a point where i think i've narrowed things down between the USO 3.2-17x44mm and Schmidt&Bender 4-16x42mm PMII.
putting one of these on top of a semi-auto .308 with an 18" barrel, hopefully being able to occasionally push things out to 1000 yards (if i'm feeling lucky) but, mostly...
Re: options for 18" iron ridge build.
agreed... some great looking rifles.
i had been thinking about the 1.8-10x USO SN3 but am actually now also considering the 3.2-17x.
then, moving into that price range, it seemed to open up some other options. i'd love the premier 3-15x if it wasn't a...
Re: options for 18" iron ridge build.
revisiting this topic, the more research i do the more my price point seems to grow.
why is this board so good at doing that?
