    Gunsmithing Loose Studs!!!

    So, what's the best way to keep sling studs from coming loose? I've tried small washers that help, but can mark the stock. I've tried loctite with mixed results. I hate twisted slings and loose studs! I have one stock with flushcups but never use a sling on it anyways.

    Re: rem 700 cdl sf? Maybe it's just me but what makes a cdl a cool rifle is the purdy wood stock. If you're gonna replace it, I agree with a stainless sps and have a smith flute it. Have him replace the pos trigger while he's at it. I sure love to see them do a stainless in 260 1/8 twist...

    Re: 180 Berger velocity 338 lapua to a 7mm? I bet that'd be a hot mess. If I go the tejas route I doubt i'd shoot it much after getting it sighted it in and a load worked up. Hopefully get a few years worth of hunting out of the barrel.
