    22Lr. group question

Re: 22 group question It was snowing and windy here all afternoon. I would say shooting in 70 degrees is what was pretty damned good!

    Hornady 68 grain load data

Re: Hornady 68 grain load data I couldn't get TAC to shoot well in anything. The only guys I know that use it are Trap shooters - but they are always after patterns not groups! May have to get another pound to try with some 68's I trust smokshwn enough to try at least one more pound...

    22Lr. group question

Re: 22 group question I find that group size with my .22 is consistant with my .308 if I use a scaling factor of four on the yardage. Example: .22 group size at 50 yards is similar to .308 group size at (4)*50= 200 yards YMMV

    Silhouette shooting dope

Re: Silhouette shooting dope I am interested in how many folks participate in your local matches, and the kinds of scores. Did you settle on using the new trainer? Which ammo?

    extreame mod savage mkII

Re: extreame mod savage mkII Inconceivable! Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "there ought to be law" Oh... but wait there is one, or maybe two. Just wondering how the home-made bean bag works with the "not too flexible" butt stock...

    Anyone using TAC for .308

Re: Anyone using TAC for .308 Tried some TAC a couple of years ago, but on lighter projectiles, I just didn't have much success.

thinking about a 22 pistol auto

Re: thinking about a 22 pistol auto I have two Buckmarks, one slabside and one target model; I really like them both. I only shoot the cheap stuff and it works great. I have also used a friend's Ruger 22/45. The Ruger 22/45 would be my second choice. Was surprised by the comment above about...

    .22 ammo

Re: .22 ammo I have been shooting some of the Eley/Remington stuff. It is Eley primed, but I think the ammo is assembled under license by others, maybe Aguila. The lube has graphite in it.

    Learnings from Rimfire Comp Thread

Re: Learnings from Rimfire Comp Thread I shot some Fiocchi Biathalon last year when testing ammo. I did not chrono, but based on the noise level it was definetly faster than Wolf MT. It had a really funky silvery-white lube. The first few rounds shot like crap, until the lube seasoned the...

FEBRUARY 2010 SH 100 TO 300 YD RIMFIRE COMPETITION

Re: FEBRUARY 2010 SH 100 TO 300 YD RIMFIRE COMPETITION 18/25 X-ring! You Rock.!.! This month I used better ammo for the 200/A21, only to miss a couple of wind calls; wind was light, but variable. I have alot of trouble finding the X-ring. Turning the A21 around and shooting at a stick-on...

    All these .22 duds

Re: All these .22 duds With the bulk stuff, it is about less QC to get the price down. If you catch a good lot, or a sweet-spot in any given lot, it is not too bad. But then you get some on the outer edge of what the production tolerance is and then it sucks. FTF is not uncommon in bulk pack...

    Savage Rimfire

Re: Savage Rimfire I have been debating between a Savage and a CZ. I know the silhouette crowd really likes the CZ, partly because the varmint model with its tapered barrel meets a certain classification. I will not likely shoot sihouette, but am looking for better than average accuracy...

Made it to 100 yards today

Re: Made it to 100 yards today I shot at the Idaho State IDPA match at Parma a few years ago. A very nice range and some good guys to hang with. They used to have a fellow that taught a seminar on long range tactical shooting. Wish I could have made it to one of his courses. I heard alot...
