Re: Just got a new R700 SPS Tactical - Problem?
I had the same (crushing the rim) problem with my 223 sps when I first got it last year. I called Remington and they sent another extractor..which did the same thing. I just ground down the one I had until it stopped doing it.
I had some case...
Re: Accuracy International AE, how...accurate?
Yep I'm aware who the 3 distributors are, as well as at least one dealer (Alex at Europtic, who looks to be the only one of the bunch coming to Charlotte this week for the NRA show). MHSA posted that they had a good number of guns incoming but...
Re: Accuracy International AE, how...accurate?
Thank you all, that is what I was looking for. Looks like in a few days we will find out which of the hide vendors has one they want to sell me.
I've been looking at picking up a real AI (I rather like my 223 rem700 in an aics) for awhile.
But one key piece of info I can't seem to find is, exactly how accurate is this rifle? (and because the word accuracy is in the name..searching for this is a bit...difficult, I found one article...
Re: PRS, A2, or...?
I have a prs on both my ar15 and obr. I can't think of any other stock that would work as well for trying to shoot accurately. As noted, they aren't light though. But they make up for it in stability.
Re: Midway USA AICS good choice?
I like my AICS and I'm having another rifle built in the same stock. You may be able to get it from one of the hide vendors for less though (since I can see them on the web for less). Not that I have anything against midway.
Re: Mall ninjas
My local mall has officers patrolling the perimeter on electric powered vehicles. I think of that story and crack up every time I see them.
Re: la Rue
I like my Larue guns (1 AR15 1 OBR) pretty accurate, and say what you want about Mark, if something breaks they fix it.
I have an 8x-32x on mine..yeah thats a bit much, second one I bought (for my remington) is 5-22.

Re: Shooting Mats
I have two mats. The TAB is compact, lightweight and will keep you out of the dirt but don't expect much padding. I have a creedmoore mat for when weight (and trips to the car) aren't an issue as it's well padded.
Re: Caldwell tack driver bag
I looked at it but bought the bulls bag instead in no small part because of the flexibility of it. All my bags are filled with sand of some weight, better for reducing recoiled but they get very very heavy.
As a media for just creating a rest cat litter should...
Re: zero change when moving scope
Yes its definately going to move if you change where the scope was sitting on the gun. I wouldnt worry about it unless the zero moves the next time you shoot it.
Re: cuting barrel
probably not much difference, maybe a little easier to move around, lose a little velocity with some loads. The biggest thing would be the new crown (and the current crown can probably be recut without shortening the barrel if it really needs it)
Re: Surgeon RSR with a different twist. pic
Dont think I would have done it either, but nothing wrong with being different. Are you going to have it coated or leave it bare metal?
Re: Couple of simple questions.
Are you sure he didnt just replace the trigger? Some of the aftermarkets (like the rifle basix) are much wider than the factory one.
Regardless, you can probably get it and all the rest of the things on your list from midwayusa.
ring height depends on what...
Re: What's the word on the Sig 250?
I have the compact version and that is a bit too short for my hands, I was constantly applying pressure to the magazine, causing it to shift in the well. Possibly because of that I had some feed issues the first few 100 rounds. The last time I took it to...
Re: New products in-stock at Impact Data Books
Thats a heck of an idea, takes most of the thinking out of it. Have to be sure to get that one with my next book/refill (just got the last one).
Re: Deadliest Warriors.. S.W.A.T. vs/ GSG-9
Its entertainment, not science. Like a good bit of things on tv doesnt really stand up well to getting picked apart piece by piece.
I made it through one episode, was all I could take.
