Re: Berger VLD 185gn 20" barrel 1-10 twist???
What kind of COAL are you guys ended up with. I understand its different gun to gun, I guess what I'm getting at is are you guys loading them touching the lands like berger recomends?
Re: Fixed 10X scopes
I got the spoting scope covered. God help the man why uses a 10x scope to ID legal rams. Fish and Game has that guy on speed dial.
Thanks for the info guys. The scope is for a backup rig and because of this I don't care to sink a huge amount of money into it.
Re: sightmark scope 4 +16+44
yea 300wsm is hell on cheap scopes. I think it will last more then one range trip but I also think it will leave you wanting a whole lot more
Looking at one of the SWFA SS 10X schopes but i'm wondering what the general consensus on a fix 10x being enough for hunting out to about 700 and ringing steel to 1k. I'd go with the 16X but that maybe to much for closer shots.
Any input?
Wanting to try these bullets but berger recomends a 1 in 13" twist. i'm shooting a 1-10" 20" tube. Anyone see any issues with this or should I be looking at a different bullet? I've been shooting 168gn Amax with good results. i'm just looking for something a little more suited to long range hunting.

Re: Loading some 168gr & 178gr A-Max. Powder choice?
I'm shooting varget with a 168 Amax. I I just started working up from 43gains and it continues to get more accurate. I'll post when i settle on a charge weight.
Re: South Carolina
I asked the same question not long ago and short of palmetto there really isn't much. Ended up setting up our own stuff on a buddies farm
Wanting to build a 300blk but before i make the leap I have a few questions. what's the shortest I can go and maintain around 1.5 MOA out to 200. from what I have seen its hard to get a twist that shoots both super and subsonic loads well. I'd like to hunt deer and pigs with it and would like to...
Looking for a good .308win load using berger VLD 175gn or heavier. Looking for something to use as a whitetail load at around 700m. Is there a big difference between the hunting and target versions of the VLD?
Thanks
Re: savage 110 stock inlet
It can be done. However it would be a great deal of work. Finding a factory savage stock should be very easy. Prob 75% of the shooters out there replace the factory savage stocks and sell their take offs
Re: turning necks?
Thanks guys,
A lot of great info there. I'm shooting .308 in a mostly factory gun and I am happy with the results I've been getting but I always wonder if I'm missing steps or overlooking things that could net even better results.
