    Reloader 17 and .308 win

Re: Reloader 17 and .308 win Thanks for the responses guys. So if the max load listed by Alliant is 50gr, should I start at 45gr, or even lower? Sorry I'm still very new to all of this and I'm trying to avoid any major mistakes. Another question I have Speer 150gr SP and the recipe listed...

    do they exist?

Re: do they exist? What primers are you ordering that they are 47 per 1000? there web site has them listed much cheaper then that. I'm getting 5000 win.LPP and 5000 Win.LRP after tax shipping, and Haz fees 360. That is 3.6 cents a primer.

    Primer Pockets

Re: Primer Pockets So if I'm just reloading because I like to shoot, and I'm not looking for perfectly matched ammo, how much of this cleanning and polishing so I need to worry about? I want to make sure that ammo works, and general will hit the target, but I don't need to have a dime sized...

    Reloading ban

Re: Reloading ban They can only take over if we let them (That means elect them in to office). Crap to late.... I'm still going to cling to my religion and my Guns, F them if they can't take a joke.

    do they exist?

Re: do they exist? I got some good prices on Large Rifle and Pistol primers on Gunbroker two weeks ago. A tad above retail but what are you going to do when supply is short. I bought all my brass and bullets, and primers from there for my next round of 1000 .45ACP, and .308win and it still...

    Reloading ban

Re: Reloading ban I would hope that this is not the path that we are going down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuHgql_PADM One would think that it would not be so easy to just disarm a nation of free people, but this video will show you that it is possible, and can happen overnight.

    Primer Pockets

I'm new at this, and I'm wondering how important is it to clean the primer pockets? More specificly .45ACP and .308WIN. I have a primer pocket brush that I pourchased and put it in my Drill Press, and it cleans the pcoket out in about 5sec, but it does add up when doing about 1000 rounds. I...

What Brand Cermaic Media do you use?

Re: What Brand Cermaic Media do you use? I will admit that I'm new at this, I guess I was just suggesting if you are that worried about getting the Primer Pockets clean, and your media is not getting it done, then there are other ways. It only takes me a few seconds to do each one with the...

    About to buy reloading equipment...

Re: About to buy reloading equipment... There is nothing wrong with the RCBS rock chucker. I just puchased one this last week, and I have already put 1000 .45 and 1000 308 through it with not a single clitch or issue. I did purchase a digital scale, and a primer brush that I put into my drill...

    Oil on the Neck

Re: Oil on the Neck Thanks for all the advice. I think that my next batch I will give this a try with spraying them down, then letting them sit for a little bit, sizing them, and then running them though a 2 hour cleaning in my tumbler. I have to believe this will save me some time.

    Oil on the Neck

I have been told that you have to be careful getting oil on the neck of a round that you are resizing, that this could cause the die to deform the neck. But I have also seen here where others have suggested oilling the whole round before resizing? I know that using a spray would be much faster...

What Brand Cermaic Media do you use?

Re: What Brand Cermaic Media do you use? Call me ignorant, but you should be cleaning your brass, before running into any die, this would include a size die that will punch out the old primer so there would be no way for the media to clean out the primer pocket? The process that I have...

    Hard to find recipe

I'm new to reloading, but I have a good understanding what is involved and how to do it. I found a good deal on .308 bullets 147 grain FMJ. The issue that I'm having is that I can't find any specification's for making this round. I have the Speer #14, and the Lyman 49th. I have also checked many...
