I find the Benelli M4's pistol grip buttstock to be waaaayy to long for me.
It's difficult to shoulder fast as well cause you have to consciously bring the gun away from your body or it snags on clothes.
Beyond that, I don't know how it would ever be able to be shouldered if wearing body...

Re: .44 special as a hog round
Well, the farthest shot I'd take with a scoped TC on a rest is 100 yards, and only with a good angle.
But my question is about the cartridge.
I know I could easily use the .44 mag in my Thompson Contender and that would be plenty for a well placed shot on a 200 lb pig.
But, my question to you is, what's your take on the .44 special as a pig round or small deer round.
Distance, <100yards.
I've been reading on different sites, when they had rimfire matches,.22 was the only thing out there.
Then with the advent of a totally new bullet design and with it's ballistics differences, the .17 HMR was out performing the .22.
With some new records being broken at clubs that were...

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for the resources. I did find the Unertl guy already but the Leatherwood link is new.
I'm probably going to go with that.
