    I want to get a general all around handgun for both target shooting as well as defense/combat purposes. I prefer .45 over 9mm simply for stopping power but I would consider the sig in .40 Any other suggestions?

    Re: Military switching side arms again? The 1911 is great but as has been said it has to many moving parts. When it comes down to it there are other guns id rather have in my hand if my life was on the line such as the S&W M&P.45 or the HK45.

    So I have noticed that many people that have purchased the remington 700 sps tactical have immediately turned around and replaced the stock. I remember somebody at the gun shop saying something about it not floating the barrel very well. does anybody have more information about this?

    So I recently purchased a Remington 700 sps tactical in .308 winchester. I am still still looking for scopes and I have noticed that there are a lot of scopes that are in the $150-$200 range that seem good such as the osprey or barska scopes. Are these scopes even worth buying or a waste of money?
