    Suppressors Thunder Beast group buy

I've been thinking about a 30P-1 for a while. This tipped me over the edge into the "purchase now" zone.

Rifle Scopes 2014's Best Scope ShootOut

How would I, as a consumer, determine this? I would LOVE to have access to metrics like service calls per unit sold, returns per unit sold, etc. But I don't know anywhere to get such data.

    ultrasonic cleaner questions?

I agree. Got an ultrasonic cleaner and was disappointed. Got a stainless tumbler, and now I don't use the ultrasonic any more.

Ooh, this looks interesting. Is there a summary result available anywhere?

    New target hanging system

Looks like the more reactive one (on the chain) might swing left/right a bit, so you don't have the full profile of it on the second shot.

Tactical Shooters Equipment - What the pros use...

That makes sense. I'm also thinking in terms of a positional stage I shot where I wasted too much time on the offhand and other unsupported shots, and didn't even get to take the prone shots, that I know I could have hit.

Tactical Shooters Equipment - What the pros use...

I'm new to this game, so maybe you're right. I just know if it's a 10 round stage, I'd like to know 3 or so rounds in (maybe during a transition) if I'm on pace. My recent experience has been that I'm running out of time and not getting all my shots off. I think having a timer ticking down in...

Does anybody run their own timer? Either a countdown watch or some small timer attached to the rifle somewhere so you know how much time is left on the stage?

140 Amax at 1k and further, calculator is off

As a further update, last weekend I was finally able to do a scope tracking test. Out to 40 MOA (in 10 MOA increments), my ATACR is accurate within 1.5%, which is within my range of acceptable tolerance... and simple to correct for in Shooter.

140 Amax at 1k and further, calculator is off

I wasn't able to do a scope tracking test yet (apparently my main range doesn't like targets that extends beyond the holders, even if it's below). But I was able to measure velocity with my shiny new magnetospeed v3. Turns out I was getting 2760 (with an es of like 60!). And the other...

Rifle Scopes American Rifle Company vs. Spuhr Scope Mount

I've got a set of M10s, and they're solid. I don't have any experience with Spuhr.

    Suggestions for a .17 MHR Semi-auto

From what I've heard, everybody had trouble making a semi HMR reliable. Supposedly the volquartsens were decent, but spendy. You might check about a HM2 instead.

I'll do a tracking test and post the results. Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone.

I completely agree. I didn't mean to imply otherwise. That's how I figured out my VX-3 on my .223 is adjusted in IPHY, not MOA. I've also ordered a Magnetospeed V3 today, so I can nail down velocity and remove that as a variable.

Based on elevations, I believe I was shooting at a slight incline: 900 yds - 1.4 degrees 1000 yds - 1.8 degrees 1130 yds - 2.8 degrees 1200 yds - 3.4 degrees But it appears this isn't enough to account for the full discrepancy. It looks like these inclines make almost no difference at all.

140 Amax at 1k and further, calculator is off

Yeah, I'm assuming the problem is on my end, not Litz's :) I need to get one. I'm kinda waiting for the magnetospeed classic to come out. Next time I shoot, that's the first thing I'll do. JBM pretty much agrees with Shooter, so again, it's probably an error on my end. 900 yards...

Sight height is 2.396" It did warm up somewhat, but I was measuring that before each new target. The column labeled "field calc" was done using the atmo at the time. The conditions I listed in my original post were somewhat of an average. I'm not taking into account powder temp...
