Rifle Scopes A couple questions about the Razor Gen 2: Hows the focus at 25yds if it parallaxes down to 32 and how is the QC?

Just because it is clear at 25 does not stop the reticle from moving with imperfect head position. All you have to do to see clear is reduce the magnification at minimum parallax. Head novement with improper head position still causes a parallax shift of the reticle to target.

Rifle Scopes Nikon Black FX1000 vs PST gen ii

The PST Gen II feels a LOT heavier. It has better turrets. It has a better reticle. Glass seems similar... both are good, but not great. The Nikon has an annoying central body where it is smaller than the turret. This requires you to remove the windage knob to use a leveling wedge when...

Hard case for f class rifle

I have Pelican and Storm cases because they are "the best" but RTIC makes a decent large hard case for a bit less if you dont want to spend Pelican/Storm money. I sort of prefer my Storm to my 3 Pelicans. Storm is better in all ways to me but shows scratches more.

any shooting mats where the top doesnt get scalding hot in the summer?

You may laugh, but I was the last to buy a canopy out of my more "well heeled" shooting friends and my canopy was one of the single best purchases I have made for increasing shooting enjoyment. Plus, all the chicks flock to your shade at shooting events. ;) When I dont have a canooy I throw a...

Please critique my build specs... gas 308/“Heavy Tactical”

Well not much here to even critique... Yes an 18" barrel reduces performance. A 20" barrel already reduces performance. Its a .308 so that caliber reduces performance vs a .260 or 6.5C in same platform. When you say adjustable gas "plug" what is that exactly? Does Wilson Combat have a...

I Really Did Like the Really Right Stuff Tripods

I use a Leophoto 324 and the only thing not stable with it is the lower leg section. It is totally worthless. I have often thought I would try a larger one to make my lower leg and friction lock the same as my second leg. I also have a BH-55 and it dien not hold a candle to a real RRS ball...

any shooting mats where the top doesnt get scalding hot in the summer?

Use a pop up canopy shade. Get a tan mat, not a black one. That covers everything. I use a Crown Shade 10x10 and Midway shooting mat. I also have a weight kit so I dont have to hammer spikes into the feet every time. Its makes shooting a night and day difference in the open and set up or take...

    Adjusting gas block ?

You start closed and open it. When it locks back with 1 round in all your mags, you are done. Spring wear, gas port errosion, etc. will make it more reliable over time.

Leupold Mark 4 with inverted H32

Just an FYI, The Leupold MK4 with inverted H32 reticle has been out of production for a while and stupid expensive when it was in production, like $2400 stupid. Just an FYI, Natchez has them in stock, on sale at $1473, with 10% off coupon are $1325. That is roughly the current Leupold military...

Thinking I need a Battle Belt

I think that there are many misconceptions about micro warbelts belts on here. I have Ronin, AWS, and Volund micro warbelts. They are NOT similar to full sized or compact padded sleeve type warbelts. They dont skide around or rise up or shift. They are not like police duty belts. I have duty...

Lightweight 2A Arms Xanthos 6.5 CM Build

Have any of you shot lightweight carriers and buffers suppressed and tested accuracy? I got a JP FMOS carrier and LMOS to see what would work best. Also have you guys with lightweight all steel barrels had issues shooting 10 shot strings due to barrel heat? Also, just wanted to add 6.5 140...

    Ballistic Advantage barrels?

Do they still pin their gas blocks on with a roll pin? Have seen some barrels that could shoot and some not.

    RCBS Chargemaster.... Upgrade or Offload

Why are you dumping the whole charge and throwing again? I just dump out a couple kernals and weigh. If its good its good. If its short, manually tap the trickle button and it gets on every time. Not that big a deal. I reweigh all my charges after I load them and dump a second time to ensure my...

    Suppressors Silencerco BOGO

I bought an Omega 300 and Omega 9K and am getting a 9mm Octane and Spectre 22lr can as my free cans. My 9mm serial number is ready and I need to pay my tax stamp and transfer fees. Spectre 22lr for me and my Lt. who also purchased an Omega 300 at the same time is still no serial number and no...

Night Vision PVS-30 on it's way, a few questions regarding illumination items (MAWL or maybe something else???)

Personally hate my Luna ELIR 3. Horrible output. Remove IR filter to get good outout and it has strong front side Vis signature and beam is a bunch of bright rings with dark spaces in between. Cannot reccomend it.

    Soft Range bag Suggestions

I have to agree, the SERT cases are the best and most durable soft cases you can buy. I have one that is over ten years old that is practically like new. I recently purchased 3 more and now own 30" 36" 40" and 46" models. They also fit like a glove into Pelican cases. Since the OP has a Pelican...

Bushnell Legend T Series 15-45x60 FFP

About my focus fix... The focus was off. The supposedly non movable fixed ring that has the magnification level numbers were riding on could move on mine. I tightened it clockwise. The focus improved. I believe they are locktited at the factory to keep them from moving when they are assembled...

Night Vision Best Thermal Scope for the money.

I agree with the get a combination of gear philosophy. The Trijicon units have shockingly good resolution though. Keep in mind we are only a 1-3 years from new thermal units equalling or surpassing current Trijicon REAP units as 1280x720 imagers inevitably make their way into consumer products...
