    New to me 280AI

    Using mine for target shooting only and never hunted anything beyond 300 yards (which seems far enough?). I use 140-ish gr SMK or Scenar-L and push them well above 3000 fps with N560 if I want to (not that I usually do). Got some 168 gr Berger Hybrids to load for it when I find the time...

    They are yellow? Those are bolt guns, gas guns, screw on and milled in rails in stocks and chassises. Separate rings and monolithic scope mounts... @TexasHaag I mount all my scopes in Spuhr monolithic canted mounts on in the action milled in dove tails. If that is applicable for you, do that...

    tikka oem 2 stage?

    I have a post -13 TRG and a Tikka two stage on a TRG-S/M995 and they are pretty darn close. Never tried a Midas or any other 3rd party trigger on a Tikka though, but the TRG trigger is usually considered a very good one.

    This. A Lee collet die and trim pin for 6.5x55 Swe would work in a pinch. But getting good equipment will save you money and trouble in the long run. If money is tight find a factory cartridge to your satisfaction, be it hunting or target shooting. (Save the cases until things change.)

    Depends on a lot of variables but ~50 fps. You probably won't notice.

    "Incremental benefit"? What do you mean? Since performance loss is minimal "fireforming" factory loaded 6.5x55 in an AI, I wouldn't spend money rechambering. Better maybe to put that money towards reloading equipment. I still would like to get my questions answered though...

    As would I. Reloading or not the 6,5x55AI usually performs well enough with standard 6.5x55 Swede ammo. I am curious as to why OP wants to rechamber and what benefits he's looking for doing so.

    I concurr. The standard stock on the TRG is awesome and only vanity and being able to remove the bolt before transport (legislative requirement) without tools made me get the KRG folder (that is awesome in itself).

    Just unscrew the rings with a screwdriver through the loop and replace with a suitable countersunk screw. (Rear stock) In the front it's a bit trickier since you need to mount a cup somehow. Check spare parts diagram at sako.fi

    Get another barrel in 6.5CM for your CTR. Make it 26" with a 8 to 7:1.
