Suppressors AAC SD 7.62 modified mount

I don’t know if he does ceracote. He refinished mine with black moly resin. It looks good, much better than when I sent it. The finish looks durable.

Suppressors AAC SD 7.62 modified mount

I believe the AAC SD 7.62 and Cyclone are about the same suppressors except for the mount, SD’s quick attach and Cyclone direct thread. Contact Nick to see if he can do the modification for you.

Suppressors AAC SD 7.62 modified mount

No recore. He cut the ratchet off and threaded the end to accept the Area 419 adapter plus I had it repainted.

Suppressors AAC SD 7.62 modified mount

I was looking at purchasing an Ultra 9, however the 1 year wait time was discouraging and $1400 with the stamp vs 2 weeks and $300. I’m sure an Ultra is quieter than the AAC, however at this point I’m happy with what I ended up with.

Suppressors AAC SD 7.62 modified mount

I purchased an AAC SD 7.62 about four years ago. This was my first suppressor and I was never happy using it on my bolt rifle because the zero shift wasn’t always consistent. If I had known more then about different suppressors, I would have gone a different route. At any rate, I sent the...

Suppressors Baffle Strike SDN6 - how can 223 bullet strike a 308 can?

Make sure you properly mount the suppressor on the adapter. It’s easy to screw it on crooked, thinking it’s mounted the correct way and have a strike.

    Suppressors POI shifts with TBAC?

Yes, it’s a 51t adapter. The suppressor is quite enough, I just don’t care for the mounting system. This was my first suppressor, I’ve learned a lot since I purchased it. If I had a do over, I’d go with an Ultra 9. I’m sure I would be happy with one.

    Suppressors POI shifts with TBAC?

Correct, the zero shift is not consistent and I need to check/adjust my zero each time I use the suppressor.

    Suppressors POI shifts with TBAC?

Is the POI predictable when the suppressor is taken off and reinstalled? Or do you have to check zero when the suppressor is mounted each time? I have an AAC SD and I need to rezero each time I put the suppressor on. I’m looking to upgrade to a suppressor that is predictable.

Training Courses NM and AZ courses

I took the Precision Rifle class a few years ago and it’s everything Mortalpawn says. The class and instructors ( Walt Wilkerson and Cory Trapp) are excellent. October is a good time to go, the weather was great. I would not want to attend during the summer.

    Training Courses Bucket list classes

I highly recommend Gunsite’s Precision Rifle class with Walt Wilkinson and Cory Trapp as instructors and Rifles Only with Jacob Bynum. Both are excellent classes. K&M is on my to do list.

    Leupold Goldring with Impact Reticle

Anyone have first hand experience with Leupold Goldrings with the Impact reticle? I’m considering getting the 12-40x60 and wanting opinions on how they work. All my scopes are in MOA, so I’m leaning to getting a spotting scope in MOA to match. I’ll use it at the range and also at matches for...

Can anyone comment on pre-2018 vs 2018 Viper HD binos?

How do you like the Vortex Kaibabs? What magnification did you get?

    Shooting a night match

I shot the match, Lights Out in Ninnekah, Ok., which was also suppressors only. This is the best match I’ve ever shot. The stages were challenging and shooting at night changes the dynamics. I’m planning to go back next year. I needed a head lamp for the match and a few glow sticks. Head...

    Shooting a night match

Thanks for the reply. I’ll pick a headlamp up before the match. I’m thinking it will be hot and dry, hopefully cool off after sunset.

    Shooting a night match

I’m shooting my first night match, Lights Out in Ninnekah, OK this weekend. Is there any gear I should take that I would not normally have with me? Anything in particular I should or shouldn’t do compared to a daytime match?
