Member Link Up Louisville, KY area?

Is this the sportsman club? Been trying to find info about this place. I am in Trimble Co. Looking for a place to shoot. Sucks to hear about rockcastle. I was tempted to buy a membership but hated the drive. A guy that run a match at rockcastle shoots at redbush. See post on FB all the time.

    Confederacy snowflakes

Growing up, I was always taught the civil war was about more than slavery, mainly the federal governments over reach of power into states rights. Yes slavery is evil. But at the time it was accepted and the way of life for the southern farmers. Glad it’s over, but a I have never personally known...

    Streamlight hL-x

Does anyone now of an aftermarket tailcap/pressure switch for a streamlight protac HL-X? I have an older one I use at work and would like the ability to mount on my AR and use with a switch. I emailed streamlight to see if they sell the cap/switch alone.

Hunting & Fishing Best Turkey Gun?

Some of the new shells use the wad to control the pattern and recommend using a modified choke at most.

Who still owns their first gun?

My daughter has my first rifle. A daisy .22 with wooden stocks not the plastic. Dad gave it to me for my 11th birthday. I also have the rifle I killed my first deer with, it’s a Remington model 660 .243. I borrowed it from my grandfather. He passed last October.

Any welders in here? Need advice.

I’ve used a pipeliner with a 10 filter in it for tig, stick and flux core since school. Have worn a respirator under it. Plenty of room for glasses.

It has always been this way, not on every round though.

    Bolt on 700 5R

I have a Remington 700 5R in .300wm. After firing and trying to open the bolt, it is difficult to pull the bolt back. Almost like something is binding it up. Rifle is like new, less than 100 rounds. This is factory ammo, no pressure signs. At first I thought it may be the bolt not fully lifted...

    Redding FL resizing die.

Lack of lube was the only thing I could think of, but this is my first time with .300. Everything before was .243,.308 .25-06.

    Redding FL resizing die.

Used rcbs lube and a lube pad, case was stuck on the bottom around the web. She’ll holder ripped the case head on the down stroke. Same issue both times. Have imperial wax on the way, but have always used a lube pad and brush, with rcbs lube in the past. Cases where tumbled not ultra sonic clean...

    Redding FL resizing die.

I have a Redding FL resizing die for .300 win mag. I am by no means a reloading expert, but also am not completely new to reloading. The Redding die is the only die I have ever gotten a case stick in. And since getting it and using it I have done this twice. From my experience and research the...

Sidearms & Scatterguns What semi auto shotgun for waterfowl hunting?

Stoeger m3500. Had little to no trouble with it. First season with it, shot a few boxes of 3.5 bb's through it and a wash in the cold Ohio river after tripping in an old tire. It reliable shoots everything from 2.75 target loads to heavy 3.5s. I do not have the weight in it though.
