Re: Which scopes should I be looking at?
Hmm, Thanks for the suggestions, but I guess I'll have to pass. They're a bit more than I'd like to pay. I guess I'll just have to forget about mil/mil and ffp.
Just got back from Wallyworld and they had a Nikon 3-9x50mm for about $200. It used 1/4moa...
My dad has a Savage Mark II without the accutrigger. It shoots .22LR and I don't even think it has anything tapped/ready for a scope mount. I'm guessing I'll have to take it to a gunsmith, any ideas how much that would cost?
My dad's getting up there in years and his eyes aren't as good as they...
Re: Why are windage knobs on the right?
Ya, I know USO does. I was just wondering why as it seems like a left hand windage knob would enable you to pretty much do all the adjustments with one hand while leaving your right hand free/ready.
Why do almost all scope manufactueres have windage knobs on the right side of the scope? It just seems like a left side one would make a lot more sense.
Re: Premier Heritage w/ Horus Reticles
I get how to range with the H-25... but how do you do it with the H-27?
This formula?
Height of Target (inches) x 27.78 = Distance (yards)
mils
If so.. why do they have an extra ranging "L" on the H-25?
On another note... anyone else slightly thrown...

Hey all,
While I was configuring a USO SN3 3.8-22x scope on their website, I noticed that they don't have any Butler Creek flip caps available for their 58mm objectives. What did you guys end up doing?

Hey all,
I'm considering getting a USO SN3 scope. I plan on shooting at distances of 100-400 yards, and then gradually expanding as my shooting improves. I have some noob questions however...
Is there such a thing as too much magnification?
I'm debating on either the SN3 3.2-17x or the SN3...
Re: My first Precision Rifle Build idea...
Thanks for all the feedback guys. I think I'll end up going with a Surgeon action.
What's the reason for the price difference of the Repeater and RSR? (I'm not knowledgeable with custom actions or actions at all lol)
The integral rail seems like a...
Re: My first Precision Rifle Build idea...
What are all the custom actions for under $900? The surgeon seems nice... but $1200 is a little more than I'm currently willing to pay. Then again... that might change.
After doing a lot of reading, I'm still confused as to which rifle I should get. I plan on shooting 168grain FGMM ammo. (I got a good deal on 1000 rounds) It seems that the 5R trumps the 700P with 175grain loads, but what about for 168grain loads?
