    My Google/bing/duckduck go skills have failed me. Has anyone here removed the barrel from a bushmaster 17s bullpup? Do "standard" ar barrels fit? Or is there a proprietary barrel extension etc? Thinking about doing a socom thumper , either 458 or 375.

    ok that would make sense . I was referring to the sear spring spring not a screw. I had a 722 rem in 222 come into the shop last week missing the sear spring . it would not cock so 2.95 worth of spring later and she has a very happy owner .

    You lost the screw that goes under the the top pivoting portin of the trigger. Or it is not pushing up on the top portion. It should depress slightly but it is a simple one to miss place.

    I owned a 17L for a few years and put many thousands of rounds through it. never had an issue with the cut out on the slide. only thing I did find out is if you get 34 sights for the 17L the rear portion of the front sight will show its ass because the cut out is longer front to back on the 17L.
