    Why isn’t horizontal stringing important in the ladder test, or maybe a better question is “is “barrel whip” always vertical?” And if so, why?

    Why does a bullet have to be concentric with a case and the chamber and the bore? Or; why does a straight bore that a bullet fits properly into need the bullet and case to be concentric with the bore with little or no runout for accuracy?

    I am looking for ideas for a lightweight compact reliable .22 to carry in my hunting pack. I have been carrying a 22/45 but it is just too heavy. I have thought about a mark III, beretta or woodsman type, but if I could find something smaller/lighter I think I would be happier. Thanks............
