Ok thanks again everyone. I have a separate but related question. It appears that the KAC is built specifically for the 300 AAC caliber. Question is: can I purchase a 556 upper and swap back and forth with the 300 AAC caliber upper? Is the "lower" part of the KAC going to be the same as...
Thanks very much to all for the comments and votes. It's safe to say I will get a 556 someday, and it sounds like close to a consensus for the KAC assuming it's not going to be my only AR. Dad says the KAC is bad ass and he thought that's the one I would want. I do reload so I'm not really...
So my dad got some brand new AR15s. He told me that for my birthday I can come down and take my pick! This will be my first AR15, and I would expect to use just for occasional range use. I'm toying with doing some 3 gun competitions. Which would you pick: 1. PWS .223 WYLDE 2...

Jason - thank you so much. Before I saw your message above I put the sear back in, but now I think I probably did it upside down. After looking at the diagram, it seems like the spring would go somewhere near the pivot point for the sear, maybe somewhere in here? By the way...
Ok I think I see what's going on here now. I see the spring on the second diagram. Don't laugh but I don't even know how to orient the sear but I think from the pictures that the concave part points down. I'll post a couple more pictures later today. I owe you a beer!
Hey I’m hoping someone can help me rectify a failed Timney installation. I tried to install a Calvin Elite in my Rem 700 5r 300WM. Problem I ran in to was that the hole for the front pin was partially blocked by the bolt release lever. Regardless of what position I try, I cannot move the...
Hi all I've been lurking for a while and thought I would jump into the fray with pics of the reloading bench I built yesterday. I used Simpson Strong Tie brackets. My requirements were: - workable height for standing or sitting on barstool -- 36" - Super sturdy construction as the bench...
