Haven’t had any issues, though I literally screwed those Hypodermics on the arrows the night before, so haven’t had many chances to see any issues. They are currently 1-0 for me.
I prefer the glass on my S&B PMII, got rid of an ATACR that I had a couple years ago. I prefer the turrets on the S&B, though they have multiple options and they all feel different. I don’t like how the zoom on the NF turns the entire ocular housing either.
^^^ yeah, black market arms gets them pretty regularly, and while they go super fast after notification I find they release them in batches sometimes. I missed two notifications the other day but was able to snag a couple on the third one.
I have a Two Vets Recon and a Two Vets No Name Jr. Both fantastic tripods, though the no name jr is super small and really more of a special purpose tripod. The Recon is a full feature fantastic tripod that won’t break the bank. I have it paired with a leofoto half bowl leveling head with and...
I have the lesser of the Steiner models, the non 1535nm beam, which Steiner advertises as invisible to IR NV. I can’t find a listed nm wavelength for my model, but from what I can find the Sigs and the Vortex’s run between 600-900nm. I’m curious if my Steiners run high enough to help cut through...
So I’ve been trying to do some googling and have come up short on an answer. My friend and I were viewing our rangefinder beams under my PVS14 the night before a match a month ago and noted how different all the beam pulses were. We had his Vortex HD 4000, Sig Kilo 3000 BDX, and my Steiner M830R...
I have the Forge 15x and the 8x binos, and they are both fantastic pieces of glass. Low light, bright light, they work great and have solid contrast and definition. No they aren’t Swaros, but I feel like there is a diminishing return on bang for your buck after a certain point with most things...
They are rather affordable, and I think you get a lot of bang for your buck with Orient. They are a Japanese company, owned now by Seiko, they manufacture in house movements and make some really nice pieces. I love my Triton diver, but I think they changed the name of it recently. They just...
That S&B Polar is gonna be pretty hard to beat in the low light department. Also comes in a 2nd focal plane, as well as a D7 reticle which falls in line of what he’s looking for.
Personally I find the SNR side of the FOM equation to be far more valuable than the lp/r. I would rather take a 35snr 64lp tube with a FOM of 2240 than a 30snr 81lp (rare I know) tube with a FOM of 2430. If you’re going to magnify the image, than sure you’ll enjoy the nicer LP, but to the naked...
