Re: SN-4?? My SN-4S is a true 1x. It has the 5.56 BDC reticle in the FFP so it holds value throughout the power range. Big and heavy but it made it through my entire tour without a hitch. I do recommend getting the extended eye relief option.

Re: Accidental paint job pattern Try a product called "TAL". It's an aircraft finish remover available at most auto parts stores. Eats the paint but has never damaged my bluing or anodizing. Recommend you test it on a hidden spot in the barrel channel before going crazy.

Re: Older GAP .300WM Love the stick; hate the kick. The suppressors on the work guns kill much of the recoil but I went with a VAIS brake on mine. Absolutely amazing reduction in felt recoil. You just don't want to be the guy shooting next to me!
