    Post Apocalyptic spare parts.

Would be interested in your report @loveha , V7 would be higher on my list too. Having an extra lower kit on hand is always nice. Just picked up one of these, because it seemed like cheap insurance for when a spring goes “ping” into never-never land. Hoping the quality is acceptable...

    Post Apocalyptic spare parts.

@loveha , how is the armaspec quality? That seems like a decent lower builder kit, may have to pick one or two up.

Who is ditching their AR pistol with Brace in light of the ATF Brace-banning rumors?

Some may not care about laws for this generation, but laws will have an impact on the next. Perception becomes reality, and a large portion of a society’s perceptions are encapsulated in the laws. Just a thought.

Who is ditching their AR pistol with Brace in light of the ATF Brace-banning rumors?

Regardless of how everyone feel about braces, the ATF comment period is open. I hope everyone leaves some professional logical comments telling the ATF that they can’t arbitrarily just create laws and random interpretations. Seriously, go throw down some logic for them to see.

    Sony Mirrorless Cameras

I’ve got an old Sony a6000 I bought years ago, and have really like it, even though it is old tech now. Sure it is old, but it shoots well, I am fine with the lenses I picked up, and I REALLY like mirrorless. It has really good automatic settings, and I don’t think the menus are too bad. For...

Is .224 Valkyrie going to die out?

I hope not, as A year ago I picked up a JP and a Rainier match barrel in 224 V, but haven’t been able to put them all together thanks to this year’s craziness. Thought it looked fun, but maybe I have a white elephant now. That reminds me, maybe I should pick up some brass just to have on hand...

Robinson Armament XCR-M...what am I missing?

Give a review when it arrives and when you put it through the paces.

Mask Mandates are about advancing facial recognition and AI

You may want to double check your sources on that one. Not saying that any given AI/machine learning algorithm couldn’t do better after training with an inferior data set, but that is not the norm and results would be suspect at best. Good data, like most things, are susceptible to garbage...

    Maggie’s Probability- question

Beautiful counter intuitive stats problem. And yes, switching doors increases the probability of winning from 1/3 to 2/3. There are a few classic stats problems like this, one of my favorites was in regard to WWII airplanes and Abraham Wald. He studied planes that made it back to base, and...

    When will prices come down?

I don’t see prices dropping for at least a year, regardless of who wins. Supply chains are dry, and it will take a while fill back up so to speak. I doubt I’ll see Ammo prices low enough to entice me to start buying again till 2022, best case. As said above the worst part/firearm shortages are...

If you got frauded, but had their address...

Box of glitter, preferably spring loaded. Or use their name/address/phone number to order a few Scientology books, selecting that “you would like to learn more”, ensuring years worth of outreach.

    Walmart cheap rifles and optics

So @DevilDocAZ , what I’m seeing is that you picked up a new rifle for about the price of 50 rounds of ammo (give or take in today’s market), and that rifle’s first group is sub MOA. Good deal! Except for having to set foot in Walmart, it sounds like you won all around with the perfect truck...

    Union Bitching/Supporting Thread

I for one won’t work a union job, it is a non-starter. Maybe in history they were useful, but I don’t like their politics and I don’t like their agendas.

Desert Tech SRS A2. Good first long range gun or start with something less?

I have an older SRS, and it is a solid rifle. I like it. Accurate and maneuverable. It is heavy if you compare it to a short action, but quite light for a platform able to handle 338 lapua. Drop in barrels are more expensive than most prefits, it you were comparing to a Remington 700 action. If...

That is beautiful, the wood lines flat out work. Head turner for sure. I’m jealous!

    PSA MP5

Quality and functionality is critical to keep any new product from being anything more than a flash in the pan. 2020 demand is insatiable, but a quality product in 2021 is better than half baked now.

    PSA MP5

I haven’t heard anything, but imagine PSA could sell all the new release guns they could possibly make and get out the door. Not some. But all. 😅

Have you received a random package of seeds in the mail?

Last I heard only ~5% of shipping containers coming into the US were even physically inspected. Who knows how complete those inspections are: if the manifest says electronics and the fist 100 boxes look like TVs, I doubt customs is going to open everything. Similarly with the millions of mail...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sharpening your blades?

I a big fan of the old fashioned hard Arkansas stone followed by a leather strop with silver polish. Medium Arkansas stones are decent too, but I just love the edge the hard stones provide. Not a “system” per say, but inexpensive and works well. My 2 cents.

Maggie’s The Shit you see on the range

I volunteered for a year at an outdoor public city range. I figure the head RSO should be nominated for sainthood: he was a wealth of knowledge and focused on keeping everyone safe, even when it took eyeballs in the back of his head. Great gentleman who was free with his information, for those...
