I have a remmy 700 6.5 cm worked over by the folks at LRI, and I am having trouble with loading aics mags. I've used both the magpul and standard aics steel mags, when I load the magazine into the magwell, I have to reach into the ejection port to push the first round from the magazine backwards...
I've had my 6.5 cm from LRI for a few months now and its the most accurate rifle I have ever shot. Great people to work with and you wont be disappointed
Dude sick post, thank you for this. I've been wanting to get some lapua cases and 450's to try but I've got a 700 with the standard pin, you think that it's a non issue? Based off what I see here i think I might be good
^^^^^ I got the straight Timney a year ago and I am slowly switching everything to a flat trigger... just feels right for whatever reason. With the new Timney Calvin elites you can switch from flat to curved shoes so maybe that will be interesting to play with
Action alone is priced at $1200, interested to hear more about the "Gunsmith-free barrel changes using direct-thread factory replacement barrels". I guess they will sell their own proprietary barrels for plug in and play, worth following http://www.recoilweb.com/shot-2017-s...on-127919.html
Glad to see some industry pros get in on this conversation. I'm getting a clear message that the J Allen is top notch and cant be compared as far as quality or design, and there is no way in hell the Magpul hunter can be compared to the Cadex. I've had the hunter for awhile now and love it for...
Ok so I know the J Allen has been gaining some headway and is worthy of a strong defense to this, likely to the DBM customization from AW to AICS but damn less then half the price at release? I was completely blown away that Cadex would release something at this price point, I was entirely...
Yes the 260 Rem uses the same action length and bolt face as a 308 Win so all you need is the new barrel, and a competent smith to do the rebarrel. Now how you go about that is entirely up to you and what component's you have available. 260 factory ammo is steadily becoming more available as...
This is what I thought of doing from the beginning, considering if anyone has their shit figured out when it comes to brass it's Lapua. I measured like 50 out of the 100 and every one measured the EXACT same. I didn't want to fudge anything up. Thanks
Some guys here probably have more experience with owning these rifle but needless to say, I have shot the Marine Corps table 1 qualification with the FAL and G3 and did pretty well. We trained them in my Foreign Weapons Instructor course at Quantico along with many other rifles and it was a...
I'm a younger guy, but started shooting at a later age. Fortunately I got to work at a local gun store and outdoor range for a few years. I received a ton of experience there, and my knowledge base has really blown up since then. What's funny is how much I think I know, compared to how much I...
Thanks for all the input, I might try both ways to see what works best. Also I guess I'd better go get a mandrel now. Just when you think you have all the tools in the box.....
I've looked through a few forums but cannot find a definitive answer, help? I am new to reloading for rifle and got some pretty brand new Lapua brass to load with. Do I run it through a sizer, trim, etc?
