    In addition to the items listed above, a loose pivot pin will make a good barrel shoot like crap. A hard hold can minimize this.

    I haven't tried H4831 but I am currently using IMR7828 SSC in a 22" Creed getting 3080 fps. Re-23/26 will also get good speed without the pressure of H4350. My 26" 243 was getting just under 3200 fps with 7828.

    Going from 27" to 22" in a 6mm Creed changes the 1000 yard drift (10 mph) by 0.3 MOA or less than 0.1 Mils. The 243 is still a great cartridge but the 6mm Creed beats it in one area, off the shelf match ammo. The 243 is neutered by SAAMI.

    44gr of H4350 behind any 105+ gr bullet will torch a barrel. I would guess you were =>65,000 PSI. I bet it was fun to shoot though!

    Hornady, Sierra, and Hodgdon have published load data on this cartridge now. For those trying H1000, you either need a drop tube or learn how to settle powder to get the most in the case. There are better choices than H4350 for brass and barrel longevity.

    I experimented with case capacity using 6mm Creed brass necked up and it was only 0.5 gr less water than 7mm-08 WW brass. Edit: I should clarify, I entered the weighed case data into QL and the 0.5gr difference is in useable capacity after seating a 162 Amax to 2.9".

    The stock reamer puts the 87 Vmax on the lands around 2.37-2.38. The 58-75gr Vmax touch at 2.35." I have never tried a 95.
