Re: Chopping 308 barrel real short Thanks for the replies. I believe I'm going to have it chopped down. Can anyone suggest a smith that can shorten the barrel and also permanently attach my AAC flash-hider.

I was thinking about chopping my 308 barrel down to 15" and then permanently mounting my AAC flashhider. What kind of performance should I expect from such a short barrel. I would be shooting a distances less than 200yds and wanted a really compact system for use with my can.

Re: 300 Whisper and AAC 762 SD Suppressor Awesome. I bought the same can and rifle from Kyle. I should have the can sometime this summer and the rifle is arriving next week. :-) I bought a bunch of brass from him also. I didn't realize he sold the loaded ammo.

Is Remington discontinuing the SPS tactical? I asked my dealer to order me one and his distributer told him they are discontinued. As poplular as they are right now, I would be surprized if this were true!

I have simrad dovetail mounts that were made to use with the Leupold Mark4 rings. What other rings are similar in dimensions that would allow me to use the simrad caps.
