    6.5 Creedmoor Peterson Brass SRP

I'll be shooting a bunch of these in a few weeks and see how they look. I'm also on the fence with them and will probably stick with my Lapua stock going forward. I think you get what you pay for here.

    6.5 Creedmoor Peterson Brass SRP

I haven't neck turned my Peterson brass either and the neck thickness is similar to what TN shooter is getting.

    6.5 Creedmoor Peterson Brass SRP

I checked my bolt last time out and found some debris in there, too. Looked like tiny brass shavings, maybe from the swipes during past sessions. Cleaned it out and am not seeing much of an issue any longer. Getting good groups with single digit SD so guess I can deal with small swipes if they...

    6.5 Creedmoor Peterson Brass SRP

Interesting. I did some H20 testing and it's clear that Peterson has less case capacity than Hornady and even Lapua. I kind of gave up trying to figure out the swipe issues and figured it was just the way it is with that brass since I had no other pressure signs and it wasn't a real hot load...

    6.5 Creedmoor Peterson Brass SRP

I'll look around and see if I can find anything on this. Interesting that I've never seen this on my Lapua brass.

    6.5 Creedmoor Peterson Brass SRP

thanks for the clarification and pic. The impression is not raised but looks more like a "swipe" or scrape. Hope the pic below makes is a bit more clear:

That could be. Honestly, not sure how to tell extractor from ejector marks.

    6.5 Creedmoor Peterson Brass SRP

Yeah, I have both. Guess I should measure it. I measured some new Peterson brass against some new Lapua using my comparator and they're spot on identical. I also checked the headspace on my AIAX since I go back and forth between a .308 barrel and the 6.5 Creed (one of the many reasons I got...

    6.5 Creedmoor Peterson Brass SRP

Recently picked up a few boxes of this brass to compare against the Lapua SRP brass I normally use due to seeing some good reviews and wanting to find a solid, US made precision option. After reading that this brand probably had a smaller interior capacity than my Lapua, I did some H20 testing...

    6.5 Creedmoor for a mile?

I agree that what they're starting to do sounds impressive. I'll be interested to hear what you think once you try them out. I'll probably be picking some up in the near future too and do some comparison against my Lapua loads.

    6.5 Creedmoor for a mile?

What's your experience so far with Peterson SR brass? I've read some good reports but haven't tried it yet?

That's a great option but if it's a bit out of your price range, I also recommend the BT10. Regardless of the product you read reviews on, you're going to get some folks that like something a lot and others that hate, but I think a very solid choice. I now have them on all my precision rifles...

Good to know they've hit the street. Looks like I've had a pick one up given how they seem to shoot. Thx.

    ? if AMP annealing problems

Sent 12 rounds (2 lots of Lapua 6.5 Creed) out to AMP for analysis today; At only 6 oz., I was able to use First Class international for about $13. Less expensive than I expected. Will see if the testing improves my results. Also, switched over to the Redding Type S bushing resizing dies. They...

Not familiar with the Lancer CF personally other than the fairly hefty price tag but I have the Seekins on one of my RPRs and this Midwest Industries one on the other. Both high quality options IMO; https://www.midwestindustriesinc.com.../mi-rprm18.htm

I agree. Have that one on one of mine and the Midwest Industries version on the other. Both are great options.

    6.5 Creedmoor for a mile?

That's just under what I'm getting out of my 147 ELD-M now so at least I'm in the ballpark for stretching it out. Thx.

Thanks. I'm sure I had these instructions at some point but must have filed them somewhere. I'll check my adjustments.

    Ruger Precision Rifle Discussion

Given the growing popularity of .22LR "PRS" around here in the Northeast, I think these will get really popular fast, especially if they end up around $300 on the street. Guys are spending $2K+ on some of the custom models out there. Now that seems silly to me! I see this as a great starter gun...
