Just found this all by itself out on the Web. I have a stripped lower I bought from them in Redmond, Oregon, about four years ago that I am finally going to use as a basis for a .458 SOCOM.

Just setting up to load for a new Gen 2 RPR in .223. On hand: Lapua brass, 69-grain SMK, 80-grain ELD-M, BR-4 primers and H4895. If I were to add one more powder, I am thinking Varget or 8208-XBR, but have heard the XBR can be finicky with the Hornady 80. Any recommendations? Thanks.

My RPR in 6mm Creedmoor will reach my dealer in Cloudcroft, NM, tomorrow. :cool:

Deadnbroken, thanks for your candid remarks, and I hope you and Nikon sell container loads of these scopes. You deserve to for what you are trying to accomplish.

I use the Lee dippers for handgun loads, but would not rely on them for long-range precision rifle cartridge loading except to pre-load the 505 and trickle to dead on, as others have mentioned.

Although I ordered a box of SMK 107s with my initial brass and dies order from Graf's, I immediately got to thinking that the 107 is a bit of a waste at the distances I will most often shoot at my local range -- 100-300 yards. And after considering all the comments about the 6 Creed being a...

Well, I popped for the 12X MRAD and a pair of Vortex rings to go on the RPR in 6mm Creed that I also popped for today. I've been on enabler forums before, but this one beats them all. :-)

Shields: Glad to hear you are having good luck with Hornady brass. I decided to try a bag of Starline brass to start with. The Ruger PR has a 1:7.7 twist; I am at 4,600 feet.

Hmmm. Asked about the Starline in the Depot, but think I will try some for rifle break-in and preliminary work ups. The Alpha looks great, but about 50 percent more.

I'll probably just start with a set of plain-vanilla Hornady dies and some 107-grain SMKs. I see Starline is now making 6mm Creed brass in addition to Hornady. Any recommendations on which brand to go with? I would normally go with Lapua, but don't want to deal with possible issues necking down...
