No pics. Clay Spencer built 22lr on a 40x that is set up like an M40A5. I’m running a Leupold Mildot from Premier and my old eyes need way more resolution.
Hi, Rimfire at 200 yards with a 1 minute capable 22lr against high vis splatter targets. Prefer >20 power. Resolution and magnification are king so I can resolve individual hits in a cluster. I need >20 mil elevation because I go longer ranges and I prefer a fine dot with a tree. What’s the...
Hi everyone, I used to post here a lot about 3y ago. Job changes and life changes -- anyway, now I'm in Texas and can shoot long range again. I have been in a communications hole for 3 years, so I'm just getting back to the forum. I'm still a minute shooter to 800y and a bit rusty to 1K. My...
Thanks— with my eyes, I can’t see 22 holes at 150 and 200 with fixed parallax. Couldnt with a properly adjusted NX8, so I know it was me and not the glass. With my 3-12x and parallax, the holes are clear at 6x and higher—that little parallax adjustment makes a big difference for me. I don’t...
Thanks for all of your replies. We run a Strike Eagle 1-6 on his lever gun -- great for steel but not so great for self-sighting. If he'll be able to spot 22 holes at 4-16x, then that should be a good compromise.
Hi, I'm building a Kidd 10/22 for my 11y son -- my existing full size 22lr trainer (M40A5-like) with a 25x scope is too big for him. The Kidd will print less than an inch at 50y when my son does his part. Would you recommend a scope that is sufficient for him to self-spot hits at 50y on BR...
WTT NX8 MOA 1-8 with Scalarworks mount—nearly new (less than 300 rounds) for a S&B 1-4x PMII, a S&B 1-8x SD, or a S&B CCW MIL 5-25x (prefer XR or P4F). Money added on my end if needed. I’m in Texas. Long time lurker on the Hide. Thanks
Have the A1/A3/A5 all built at Quantico PWS. The A1 is the coolest, and it’s like at tank with the MST-100. That said, the A5 is suppressed, easier to shoot, and generally gets the mot range time.
Been a few years since my last post—5, I think. I tested a lot of LPVOs for my 14.5” AR. My eyes have gotten to the point that I use scopes to correct my vision. My friends want to run and gun, and I prefer to sit somewhere with a good field of fire and let the bullets do the work. So, this...
Quantico PX does it--may be easier with them if you are on orders. Also, if you go by the gun desk at the Belvoir PX, they have business cards for the uniformed FFL who will do the transaction (not associated with AAFES). Shooters at Lorton is good, but they are absolute sticklers on VA Driver's...
