Best way to carry a kestrel for prs type competition

What do you do with the string on your Kestrel? I’ve been trying a few different holders/holders and keep find the long ass string on the end is a pain in the ass to stuff into a pouch.

The German wings guy did the same thing, MH370 is most likely to have been murder/suicide. Definitely not the first person to have done it.

    Extreme Spread

Under 40fps is what I hope for in match ammo. Under 30fps is what I'd expect from very good ammo. Anything starting with a 2 is excellent, but likely to be due to small sample size/luck from a particular box of ammo. I've shot plenty of matches with ammo that's around 50-70fps ES, I'll miss...

    CZ 457 MTR ammo?

Try some better (more expensive) match ammo. CCI MM (minimag?) isn't known to be particularly accurate. SK red should be ok though, however different batch can vary a lot. Do you notice the groups have vertical stringing in them? If so then chances are it's the ES/SD/inconsistent speed of the...

    New Applied Ballistics® Quantum™ APP! - & It's Free!

I watched the video again, not sure it clearly spelled it out but I gathered for 22lr you do the bulk of the tuning with MV not DSF. I’ve changed to Eley now and the app has a CDM for it. Managed to get it pretty much perfect with just tuning the MV. Playing around with a few things, it looks...

    Boeing down in India

I had a Captain report to me that glass on the rudder trim indication on a A320 was cracked on the centre pedistal, he wondered if it had been caused by Engineering dropping gear pins on it or something. No idea what they hell he did to break it, and obviously wasn't going to tell me what he...

    Boeing down in India

It's the kind of thing they wouldn't have expected that to be the cause of the problem though. So I can see why it would take a while. Especially if there wasn't a warning saying what was wrong. I don't even know what indication they'd get in the flight deck, would there be a "Engine Cutoff"...

Between the CVR, FDR, and physical wreckage they will know exactly what happened. If they were moved to cutoff due to some sort of failure it will be obvious to the investigators. Or if it was indeed sabotage, or just human error. Those switches are 100% manual only.

    T1x ACE in Hand - Review - Pictures - Info - Thoughts

Most people end up with ARCA rail eventually for competition use, the bipods can be extremely expensive but then all good bipods are expensive. Many bipods are the same price for picatinny or ARCA, and you can attach a picatinny rail or sling stud adapter to the ACE M-lok forend. I can't...

    New Applied Ballistics® Quantum™ APP! - & It's Free!

Standard velocity (subsonic) 22lr, so I have being doing it within 200yards and a spacing of only 30 on yards. I know a bunch of people who have trued their AB Kestrels this way, so was copying them. I want a custom profile that is an exact fit up to 250yards, I don't shoot further than that...

Another guy who talks a lot but doesn't actually know any details. He's doesn't seem to work on larger aircraft as a lot of the words he used and all the examples he used doesn't apply to the 787. The discussion about fuel contamination was strange, its basically impossible that the wrong fuel...

    T1x ACE in Hand - Review - Pictures - Info - Thoughts

What about the CZ LRP or the CZ Range? I think the CZ457 is a better action to build off in the future than the T1x, but I'd rather have the ACE chassis than the MDT one. The forend on the LSS is quite short, and the built in ARCA on the ACE is a big advantage. You'll be able to put more...

    New Applied Ballistics® Quantum™ APP! - & It's Free!

I've started using the app, hoping to find a replacement or Strelok Pro First impressions are not great, I kind of hate the app tbh. Working on a list of constructive feed back at the moment. My biggest issue at the moment is I can't get the DSF function to work, I'm using it for 22lr and the...

    T1x ACE in Hand - Review - Pictures - Info - Thoughts

The Strike Eagle is a good scope for the price, out of interest what other scopes are available at a similar price point? For rings 1" high would be ok, but most people tend to use higher rings as the scope is at a more comfortable height, 1.5" would be fairly standard for most guys. What's...

    AI AX308 Grip mods?

Vision told me that they were indeed discontinuing the chassis, they said it wasn't impossible that they would do a run again in the future but they couldn't guarantee it. So I jumped on one while i still could.

Only if he can get the right accessories in Switzerland. Most of the cool stuff is made in the US and not exported.

    T1x ACE in Hand - Review - Pictures - Info - Thoughts

How hard is it to get other MDT chassis and/or accessories in Switzerland? I'd be inclined to go for a CZ457 model. If you like the the chassis that comes with the CZ MDT then I'd say it's a good option. I'm not a fan of the MDT LSS Gen2 chassis, but the new LSS Gen3 looks really good. If the...

    Boeing down in India

You don’t do it straight after refuel as you need to leave time for the water to settle in the bottom of the tanks. Boeing say you need to wait 4hrs after refuelling, or running the fuel pumps before doing fuel drains. However large amounts of water isn’t usually an issue these days as all the...

    Boeing down in India

Human error and/or malpractice is the most likely cause. Poor maintenance has caused issues in the past, that combined with bad decision making by the crew could easily explain it. Air Asia 8501 occured when the pilots attempted a reset that should only be done on the ground in flight. I don't...
