Extended Long Range shooters,
I want to read about your 300 Win Mag loads and velocities with the 215 and 230 Berger Hybrid Target bullets, specifically for Hodgdon and IMR powders. I am only interested in Hodgdon and IMR powders as they are the only...
Fellow precision shooters,

Hey fellow loaders, looking for load data for 300 Win Mag, H1000 and Hornady 195 gr ELD Match bullets.
It’s a new bullet and I can’t seem to find any powder charge minimum/maximum info so I can start load development.
Thx for the help.

Thx for the help all, I'll load a few rounds of 230s and shoot them out to 300m to see what the holes look like and see if they stabilize. If they don't, I'll go for 200-210 gr bullets and run them as hot as I can, once my barrel is shot i'll get a custom barrel with a 1:8 or 1:9 twist for the...
But how accurate is the 212 ELDx, after all, it was designed as a hunting bullet first, that inside ring must hav a negative effect on the stability at longer ranges no?
Good info. If I remember right, 4831sc was suggested for the lighter bullets but not recommended for the heavier ones. It was apparently a bit too fast of a burn for the heavies...but as I said, that’s what I read and not personal experience.

I’ll have a look at 8208 XBR. As for IMR 4166, I have tried it and consistently get inconsistent velocities, hasn’t worked for me on an earlier 308 I had (Rem 700 SPS).
I ran some numbers through my Applied Ballistics app with 168s, 175s and 178s: at linger ranges, the 175-178 have better wind bucking capabilities than the 168, but the 168 has less drop. I used recommended powder charges and printed velocities for my comparisons although I am well aware of the...
I am searching for information on what the pros use as bullet components for the tactical division, more specifically for the 308. If anyone has some info on that, it would be greatly appreciated.
I have no problem finding tons of info on the 6mm and 6.5mm but none on the 308. Thx in advance.
