ON THE BDA 380 -- I have to search around but I had purchased new brass medallions for the handle. I lost the original item when I moved from the desert to the east coast.
As I recall (at work ATM) the barrel length is 7 inches. That is why they became popular with outlaws, the longer barrel made for a more accurate shot. Frank James was said to carry 3 of them in some of his jobs!

I am moving to Colombia and have to sell all my firearms. If you are interested in the other items drop me a line. This started as a Remington 700 5R milspec. It has been mounted in the original AICS stock, has a light, adjustable trigger, KLM firing pin, action was trued by Jon Beanland...
After saving up I'm about to have Jon redo my Remington into a .260 F Class masterpiece. He will true my action and threads, take a Krieger or Bartlein competition barrel and put a competition chambering on it. He will then thread it and put on an integrated brake and thread protector. And he...
I checked bullet lengths and everything from 130 to the 147 ELD are the same length. It isn't until you go bigger that a long action is required. So the 140 and 147 ELD are my two target loads with the 140 should I go hunting.
If all goes well and the bills do not overwhelm me then I hope to get my rifle rechambered next month. Obviously I chose the .260 Remington and plan on using either the 140 VLD or the 149. For the heavy bullets what is the optimal twist? 1:8 is planned but I'm wondering of 1:8.5 or 1:9 is...
My gunsmith is Jon Beanland in Oklahoma ( Beanland Rifles ) and he must get his barrel blanks in bulk. He does either Bartlein or Kreiger depending on what you want and which barrel maker supplies it whenever he does a rechamber.
This is my way of having an AI rifle. It began as a Remington 700 5R milspec (one of the very first ones) mounted into an AICS thumbhole stock. The flat on the bottom of the stock is perfect for both F Class and bench shooting. I'll soon be rechambering for a .260 with the trued action and...
With a Remington 700 you do not want just the barrel installed. You want your receiver trued as well. So I looked up my gunsmith. Action Truing is 295 and his barrel install is with barrels of his choice for 300. In his case he buys blanks from the barrel makers and chambers them himself.
