WTB Huntsville AL area need a few .300 Win mag

I just finished a new build and before I get it engraved and coated I need to test fire it. At this point I will take anything. I can trade other ammo if you need 556 308 or Lapua 6.5 or .30 scenar bullets. Or I will take .300wm dies and brass off your hands if you have them.

    Gunsmithing 6.5x47L reamer

I run 139 scenar with RL15 at 2750fps and get amazing accuracy out to 800m First shot cold bore accuracy up to 10mph direct crosswind easily 1moa out to 300m. I also shoot the 123scenar near 3000fps but it is not as stable and predictable at longer range as the bigger brother

    Gunsmithing Remington 700 differences

Well fellas, after a long hiatus I have crawled back into the hide. I picked up a neglected old Remington 700 7mm magnum and I noticed that one of the bolt lugs doesn’t have the usual cut out. And this rifle was manufactured in August 19 67 and has a six digit serial number. I’m comparing it...

    6.5x47 bolt rifle build

How does your action shoot currently? I Have not learned how to "true" an action yet. But I have made 3 sub moa rifles on a 700 action, one 300WM and the other two are 6.5X47L. I did not bush the firing pin and have had no issues with cratering or piercing primers. Don't get too fat a barrel...

Gunsmithing PVS22 offset from day optic

Quick update. I got Badger high rings and it lines up very well. Test fire shows point of impact 0.2 mil low at 100m under the PVS22. Really pretty good at 8X but better at 6X and 4X. At higher magnification the resolution is poor. It looks like I can easily use this out to 500yrds on hogs with...

Gunsmithing PVS22 offset from day optic

I bought an IMUM from Triad and installed it yesterday. The instructions from Badger were great and aside from .125" radius on the corners it is awesome. The barrel is floated. So I put my rifle back together and with low rings on my USO this is my offset. The centerline on the PVS22 is about...

Night Vision Mounts for aligning NV and Aimpoint

Well A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. I already have the GI mount for the PVS14. And it is cumbersome to mount and unmount, but time is not a critical factor. If we are going back on the helmet we will have plenty of time to do the switch and stow the gear. I am using it for pigs and...
