    Keeping Gear Quiet

Specifically the MASH hooks on my TAB Biathlon sling. They are super solid and won't accidentally release like the HK hooks sometimes do, but they are NOISY! I've thought about dipping them in something like this: http://www.plastidip.com/home_solutions/Plasti_Dip Riggers tape makes it...

    Suppressors Mile High Rant

Re: Mile High Rant I was there this morning. It looked like a beehive of activity, yet they took time to deal with even my small issue. MHSA handles some BIG accounts. It didn't seem to matter to them that I was small fries. I was treated with respect and courtesy. If they have something...

Hide on the range app for use with Chuck's IOTA

Re: Hide on the range app for use with Chuck's IOTA I've had this for a couple of weeks and finally got at chance to play with it tonight. Great job putting this together. The timed dot drills are a real challenge. This is something that I couldn't do well by myself. Thanks for doing...

Hunting & Fishing Hand Calls for a gift?

Re: Hand Calls for a gift? I'll spend some time at predatormasters. That place is packed with info. Just what I needed, another sight full of information that far exceeds my ability to learn. Cheers

Hunting & Fishing Hand Calls for a gift?

I've got a guy that I owe a favor or two. He won't take cash for anything, but he loves coyote hunting. I'd like to give him a nice hand call. I'd heard good things about Arky Yoter calls, but they seem to have dropped off the internet. What would you buy for this guy? Thanks, Chilo

Re: I.O.T.A (Indoor Optical Training Aid) Mine is in the mail. I've been holding of on this and can't think of a single good reason. I'm looking forward to having this to "snap in" with. Thanks for being so speedy with the shipping. Cheers

which height bipod do you prefer for prone

Re: which height bipod do you prefer for prone The 6-9" is great for shooting from a slab at a square range. If you are going to the field, the 9-13 works better for me while prone. The extra room will get you over obstacles/brush and grass much easier in the field. Cheers

Fieldcraft off grid hunting camp/weekend get away

Re: off grid hunting camp/weekend get away Are you going to be there enough to keep unwanted visitors away? The four legged kind are bad but the two legged unwanted visitors can do a lot of damage and be really dangerous. A well put together remote homestead that doesn't get visited often...

Fieldcraft off grid hunting camp/weekend get away

Re: off grid hunting camp/weekend get away Force, Glad your kids are involved. We hosted my brother's kids for their spring break. They're from Ft. Worth and had a great time out at the ranch. Killing prairie dogs and getting on steel at 700 yds was tops for the ~16 year old boy...

    Heat Damages AR 500 Targets

Re: Heat Damages AR 500 Targets Rooster, I've use Devcon for bedding a rifle, but not the steel putty. Thanks for the heads up. I've got a little bit of scrap left that I'll try it out on. I knew torching the holes would wreck the temper, but I did it anyway. Sometimes I'm like that.

    Heat Damages AR 500 Targets

Re: Heat Damages AR 500 Targets Ratbert, First you say that you've got a CNC in your garage, then this comment about the water jet...you're killing me here. Seriously, this was a great use of a couple of pieces of scrap. I'll continue to shoot them because, well, why not? I just thought...

    Heat Damages AR 500 Targets

I had some 1/2" AR 500 plate left over from a project and built a few targets with the scraps. The edges were cut with a plasma torch and they have taken several hits without much deformation. I was having a lot of trouble piercing the 1/2" plate with my plasma cutter without ruining the tips...

    do You Spank Your Kids
