Rifle Scopes Problem with new NF

Re: Problem with new NF Yes sir, it's a 5R Milspec. It's actually coated the same color as the tang area, but looking through the scope makes it look really light for some reason. I guess that's why I didn't realize it was the barrel. I'm retarded haha.

Re: Problem with new NF Oh and feel free to make fun of the banner hanging up on the wall, I have that one, an Asian and Pacific Islander awareness month one, and a Raza and Native American heritage month one. It's sort of an inside joke with my roommate and I because we're both white as...

Rifle Scopes Problem with new NF

I've had my NF 3.5-15x50 F1 MLR2 for about a month now, and just realized something that either wasn't there when I bought it or I just overlooked until now. From 3.5 to about 5 power, you can see a whiteish blob at the 6 o'clock position. Anybody know if this is fixable on my end (hit it on a...

Rifle Scopes Which scopes break and which dont?

Re: Which scopes break and which dont? The Marine Corps breaking 1 in 3 S&B's is total BS. I carried one for almost 4 years and 3 deployments and the only problem I ever had was the MTC feature not working, which didn't affect the actual functioning of the scope whatsoever. Out of my 30 man...

Big thanks to Randy at R&D Precision

Long story short, I had a rifle put together by another "smith" while I was in Afghanyland about a year ago. Apparently he didn't use loctite on the screws that hold the base to the rifle. Well, about 500 rounds later, they started working loose. While I was shooting a week ago, the head of one...

    Advanced Marksmanship Shifting zero

Re: Shifting zero I was taught that with a .308, a ~20 degree F change will move point of impact roughly 1 MOA either up or down. You said the "temperature change along with the sun" so I'm assuming it was hotter than when you zeroed, explaining the higher impact. How much hotter was it when...

    Suppressors USMC Knife Doctrine

Re: USMC Knife Doctrine In MCMAP, as you go up from tan, grey, green, brown, then black belt the knife/bayonet techniques get more and more "complex." Tan belt is very very basic slashes, perry's, and thrusts. I don't really remember what they taught in grey, I think it was mostly bayonet...
