Nobody has attempted this? I had a reply from a guy on another forum that did almost the same thing on a Tikka with 6.5x55 and converted it to a 6.5x284. He said it was a half minute rifle. I was just hoping someone had done this on a 7mm-08.

I just installed a Timney on my Remington 700. It is plenty crisp but it has about a 5 pound pull. How do I tune it down to around 3 or so? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: 6.5x284 Short or Long Action Ya the 6.5 creedmore or 260 are sweet, it's just the 6,5x284 shoots a bit faster and hits a bit harder. But there is also more recoil and less barrel life.
