How does one become a narcotics officer? I assume you have to be a patrolman for a while? I'm seriously thinking about joining the local PD and eventually become a narcotics officer. Any tips/comments?
Does anyone use these? Anyone who is totally against them? I figured I can just put some solution on the bristles and run it down the barrel a couple times, every other 2 or 3 trips to the range. Any reason why I shouldn't do this?
Anyone know abything about this cartridge? My father recently passed away and was going through his things and found a couple hundred new brass in this caliber.

Still pretty new to LR shooting and am thinking about getting my first spotter. Found a used Leupold Wind River 15-45x60 with a tripod and the case for $215 shipped. Good spotter, or no? It does not have a reticle though.
Looking at building a trainer but can't decide on which caliber. I'm pretty set on a centerfire cartridge. I thought I had decided on the .17 Fireball until I saw the price of ammo. It's a little more than I'd like to spend. Looking for a low recoil cartridge. Suggestions?
Found this on another forum. What to do... 1. Kill a few Flies 2. Put them in the sun to dry for one hour. 3. Once they are dry, pick a pencil and paper... Let your imagination flow.
What is the general life expectancy on a rimfire? I'm going to be getting the new Savage TR, but I still can't decide between the .22 or the .17. If I wind up with the .22 I know I'll be shooting the shit out of it. At least 100 rounds each trip to the range. If I get the .17, maybe not as much.
Looking at a .17HMR and a .22LR. Going to be doing mostly 100 yd shooting with this rifle, occasionally up to 200 yds. Which is the better cartridge between the two, and why? I need answers other than the .22 is cheaper to shoot, .17hmr ammo might not be available in the future, etc.
