I like to use PT&G bolts, you can get a body and handle for around $140 and add what extractor you like.

I have set back a couple and rebarreled a couple. Some copper fouled horrible and it was best to replace the barrel.

You're asking a lot of the 22cal for that. Sure it can be done but something like a 260ai would do a much better job.

Re: 338 Sin and why it was developed I have some numbers now 225gr bullet will hit 3200fps and the accuracy load was right at 3150fps from a rechambered factory Tikka T3 light 24" 338 win mag. Accuracy was good with a 5 shot group of <3"@600 yrds.

Re: Wanted five. rem 700 barrels removed from actions if anything could be chambered and fired then it would be an SBR and get into ultra mega trouble. Leave the barrel on until it is removed. it will cost you a whole $10 extra to ship them all.

Re: Contouring from a blank It is a P.I.A. if you are doing it on a manual lathe with no taper attachment. I have done it. Will I do it again? probably on my own only. I'll gladly pay Brux to contour my barrels for me.

Re: Savage Style Barrel Nut on a Howa? No grooves, it uses a spanner wrench with a hole in the bottom. Here is a pic of a CZ I did the same way. I have done it that way for Remingtons and Mod70's too.

Re: Brownell's is unbelieveable !! I use to order a ton through midway but their shipping will break you now. They charged me $8 to ship a back ordered pin that was $.75, Of course they refunded part of it when I called but brownells is a lot better at their shipping prices.

Re: .458 DK thoughts and opinions? You are going at it all wrong, take a look at the 450 Dakota pretty much the exact same as what you want to do, with factory brass, dies, reamer and ammo if you wanted.

Re: what would you like to see? I do like the tikka actions but they are lacking aftermarket parts like the remington and Howa and savage actions. I like being able to have the option of many off the shelf stocks and triggers. Thanks for the replys and info.
