Re: Prairie dog Slayer!
The pheasants are way down this year. They say the average is about 46% down this year. I think it's higher than that and have not seen very many this summer.
Re: My haul from the SWFA group buy
I think you'll be very happy having all your scopes the same. Eventually I plan on doing something similar but for now I'm just trying a little bit of everything.
Re: Florida man pays $66,000 for Bear Hunt
Crap like this should be at least a 10 year suspension of all hunting rights in all states. Of course he would probably just go poach something then.
Re: Berger VLD?
definately keep them close to the lands. For benchrest alot of people jam about 10-20 thou but that isn't the best option for a hunting gun where you need to eject unfired rounds.
Re: Waste of time? Measuring cases, projectile& powdr
For benchrest weighing cases is a good idea. You want your record shots to come from similar cases and not from the entire range in your set of brass.
Re: best caliber for target and hunting
A 7mm rem mag pushing a 180 berger has pretty decent energy to 1000. Not that I would ever advocate shooting anything other than a target or rock at that distance.
Re: 835 goose gun paint job / makeover
Looks great. If you can find a matte clear coat it might be a good idea to cover it to protect all the time spent. The krylon flat paints come off fairly easy with gun cleaners and other chemicals.
Re: Rubber boots for deer archery?
I have 2 pairs of rubber boots I wear on alternating trips. When not hunting they hang outside all fall upside down on the side of the fence. They never go in the house or garage. I don't like putting boots in a bag because your foot odors from the inside...
