I honestly don't remember! lol. I will take them both to the range with me tomorrow & listen without ear pro and report back. I do not have a Mini yet, one of my customers is going to pick one up and I know he'll let me run it. If he does, I'll try and retake the video with them all & use an...
I have ~15k rounds of mostly full auto shooting from a 10.5" & the suppressor is still in good shape. I run a brake to absorb most of the blast. I've been running the SOCOM on my 14.5" since they've been released & still looks new
I have been running one on my bolt guns since they came out. Only issue I've had was (I assume) an out of spec brake that made it very difficult to install and remove the suppressor. Once I changed brakes, didn't have the problem again.
Now I'm not advocating not wearing ear pro. I still do, but occasionally when shooting steel I'll take it off to hear hits. I'm simply looking at it from db reduction perspective. A suppressor has more db reduction than muffs. You're correct that doesn't take into account of pressures & other...
Not try to debate anyone by any means, this is an honest question I've always had regarding this debate. Most ear pro only knocks 19-25 db off & some up to 30 db, most suppressors knock 30-35 db off... Those numbers don't add up in my head?
Man, I'd do not like pistons, more felt recoil, and the one's I've seen are no cleaner running suppressed. If you're in the top end, a Knights Armament is the best AR in my opinion.
I'm running the Redding Comp dies, not sure if I'm smart enough to use them! lol. But don't have many rounds made yet. Have the neck tension bushings on the way, haven't used them yet.
I have both, Leica 1600 & Terrapin. Only taken the Terrapin out twice, and have had the Leica for 2+ years. The Leica is very nice, small compact, great glass. Ranges very well. Has a hard time when you start getting 1K plus. I have been able to hit an IPSC sized piece of steel at 1335 and...
Nice! You'll love him. I just got mine (Winston) in November, he'll be 6 months next week. They are the most useless dogs ever, but nothing is better!!!!
I have ran the 212 & the SOCOM Mini together... The Mini on a 14.5" barrel is still pretty loud, but the Mini on my 18" barrel is much more pleasant. Unless you need the shorter OAL, go with the full sized can (assuming 16" & less).
Re: Surefire Customers Beware The 762SS is a great suppressor. I have one on an 18.5" 6.5CM build, fun little set up. Running the new SOCOM on my 300wm Surgeon. I think I prefer the old mount system, but both cans are nice. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally...
Re: SFMB-762 They released some, I got a handful but were picked up very quickly. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Zoomie</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Just a follow up. I am sorry to report the SFMB 7.62 rollout as a fail. I am still waiting...
