MSR 10 Barrel Swap - Extension Dimensions?

Thanks for the info and quick reply! I couldn't find any Savage MSR specific barrel nut wrench, but my Daniel Defense Lite wrench notches up much closer than my castle nut wrench. Plus is a lot beefier. It doesn't really look like it from this angle, but two of the tabs touch the notch sides...

MSR 10 Barrel Swap - Extension Dimensions?

Did you end up getting your barrel swapped out? I'm looking to do the same to mine. I got the same run around from Savage that you did, so couldn't get answer on what extension they use. I pinged Rainier Arms and they believed it to be DPMS, but weren't 100%.

    Remage or RPR

You guys really aren't making my decision easier....lol To the last couple posts recommending a Tikka CTR.....how is the stock on those? Would you recommend an upgrade? I'm not sure I'm too concerned about the long action in competition. I seem to run it better than my Savage 308.

    Remage or RPR

I do like the feel of an AR. I've got three that I shoot a bit and I'm comfortable with. That's a big reason I like the RPR. But I keep leaning towards the Remage with a chassis. Thinking the Mcrees G10. It's got a lot of nice features for the price. I know this sounds crazy, but I'm not...

    Remage or RPR

Primary purpose will be punching paper and ringing steel. Someday I hope to get into PRS. I do like upgrading my guns, so I'm sure if I got an RPR, I'd want to do some upgrades. If I do get into PRS, is weight a concern?

    Remage or RPR

Wondering if I could get your opinion. I've got a Remington 700 in 270 win that I inherited years ago. I really don't shoot it as it's just not enjoyable with the recoil. I've been thinking about doing a Remage conversion to 6.5 Swede. I got in touch with NSS and got all the pricing figured...

    Suppressors Funny April fools article

Came across this on Facebook. From the headline, I was pretty excited. Then I read the article and realized April fools. ATF approves all pending NFA requests, apologizes | Gun Nuts Media Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

Suppressors SWR Spectre II - Update

I run my Spectre 2 on a Remington 597 AAC SD and it seems to run without issues. I measured the thread length and its 3/8".

Suppressors Is this normal for a suppressor?

I had the same thing happen in my new Octane. I couldn't really tell what it was from. I checked for any strikes and nada. I also shoot plated bullets. But as I've shot it more, it doesn't seem to happen much anymore.

Suppressors trust/w Certificate or Compliance yes or no?

I was advised by my dealer to send it. I sent it with my SBR as well. You just never know. It's an easy form and I'd rather be safe than have to go through a hold after I get a letter saying its needed.

    Suppressors Mile High Rant

I'm sorry all, but I've got to rant. Has anybody tried emailing MileHighShooting lately and gotten a response? I don't want to call out any specific name, but I've tried emailing her 4 times in the lat 6 weeks trying to get a status on the TOMB Arbiter stock and I've gotten no replies what so...

    Suppressors And the wait begins

Re: And the wait begins I'm waiting for Mile High to get some TOMB Arbiters in stock. By the time they get them in stock, then form 3 to my dealer, and then form 4, I hope to have it by next summer...lol I'm hoping to have the Octane HD, Specwar, and my SBR stamp for an X-Mas present.

    Suppressors And the wait begins

So a couple weeks ago, I sent in my form 1 for a 300blk SBR. And just today, I bought a SWR Specwar and Octane 9 HD. Now I need to start considering my 30cal suppressor purchase. Leaning towards an SAS Reaper. My dealer tells me he's been seeing 3 to 4 month form 3 wait times, though. I...

    Suppressors 5.56 can's

Re: 5.56 can's I'd really like to have a separate suppressor for each rifle. That way, if me and my wife are shooting together, we can both be suppressed. I do know that the Octane 9 HD will shoot 300 subsonic, but would still like to have a dedicated for each rifle. There is no such thing...

    Suppressors 5.56 can's

I'm trying to decide between a couple different cans. There's not a ton of reviews/discussions that I could find on either. I'm stuck between the SAS M-47 TOMB and the SWR Specwar. My dealer will have a Specwar in stock within the next week or so. The M-47 I would need to transfer in. All...
