Horrible accuracy with custom SR-25. Help!

OP, yor rifle looks like it's shooting 2 different groups. Do the first round and the last round hit outside the main group? I have an ar10 that stuffs OTM bullets into the barrel extension and changes the seating depth considerably, and for some reason, in terms of accuracy, it is more...

    6.5 Grendel v .300 Blackout

You gotta love all the drama, but seriously in a year or two time I think you probably see the Dpms g2 pattern become the defacto standard for large frame ARs. DPMS will be ramped up with parts and other chamberings, Harrison will be ramped up with the 12, and there will probably be others...

    Cadex Response to Patent Suit

The thing I find most interesting about this goat rope is that a quick review of "what the pros use..." reveals that exactly zero pros use an APO or a Cadex and that speaks volumes.

    6.8 or 300 blackout

Re: 6.8 or 300 blackout I used the advanced program where you can set your PB parameters to 2.5. The default in basic is indeed 5 in. Run it again in the advanced use 2.5 and you will need to set the bullet to none and input your BC and bullet weight.

    6.8 or 300 blackout

Re: 6.8 or 300 blackout Just looked again the PB ranges line up at 223 yards. On your program the PBzero is called optimum sight in range at 194 so they line up. In your example you used the 223 (220 in your comparison) for yor PB zero you should have used 194 if you are indeed comparing...

    6.8 or 300 blackout

Re: 6.8 or 300 blackout I just used the listed 110 tac x. Just using a BC of .294 at 110 sight height of 2.4 JBM gives max PBZero of 192 and max PB range of 222. Not sure why two programs give such different results

    6.8 or 300 blackout

Re: 6.8 or 300 blackout Rsilvers, when I run the 110 tacx at 2400 through JBM I get a max PBZ of 180 not the 220 you posted. Perhaps I made a mistake, could you please post a copy of your JBM output page so I can see if we are using the same inputs?

    Advantage of case concetricity? NONE

Re: Advantage of case concetricity? NONE I am not trying to debate the point, I genuinely would like to know How much difference does it make, and if everyone thinks this question deserves a new thread I will be happy to start it.

    Advantage of case concetricity? NONE

Re: Advantage of case concetricity? NONE The real question is not does it make a difference, but rather HOW MUCH difference does it make? What the advocates have failed to provide is any data to support their case. At least the op shot some sorted ammo to reach his conclusion. So here are...

    AR-10 Recoil question.

Re: AR-10 Recoil question. I will just give you my experience with an AR10 T. Same issue with groups. I found that by allowing the carrier to chamber a round slowly with me guiding it with the charging handle that the meplat on the Sierra 168 was jamming into the flat section under the feed...

Rifle Scopes Why a 24mm objective?

With all the interest in 1x scopes why are manufactures not making 1x6+ Scopes with larger objectives? Does one power scope have an optical mechanical limit that forces the use of less than tube diameter objective lenses? IIRC your pupil can only expand to 6-7 mm and the scopes exit pupil is...

What are your short barreled 243 velocities?

Re: What are your short barreled 243 velocities? From an 18 I get 2750 from 41 gr of I4350 and 2830 with 41 gr of rl17. I am waiting for summer to bump the RL17 load up a bit so it may do better. 105 Amax

Rifle Scopes .223 bolt hitting rifle scope

Re: .223 bolt hitting rifle scope If it just barely touching try some electrical tape. Take the scope out of the rings, place some black electrical tape (adhesive to ring not scope) to each half of the ring, trim and put back together. This worked for me on CZ with low rings. If not I am...

18inch 243 need ideas for powder

Re: 18inch 243 need ideas for powder I have a 600 remmy 18 in barrel. I get 2830 with a 105 amax and 41 gr of RL-17. That load was the first I tried w/ RL17and it shot well, so I cant tell you how much more room I have before it tops out. I have to admit RL17 and barrel life concerns me a...

    loading in the lands
