    Advantage of case concetricity? NONE

Re: Advantage of case concetricity? NONE There are ejectors out there which aren't the plunger type and which exert no pressure on the chambered cartridge whatsoever. I'll take concentric over the alternative every time. Especially when it is so easy to achieve.

Neck Sizing Die...Redding or Lee Collet?

Re: Neck Sizing Die...Redding or Lee Collet? The LCD for me too. One thing I'd like to make you aware of however is the fact that either the standard production .260 Rem or 6.5x55 LCD's can be easily modified to work perfectly with the Creedmoor. I've done several LCD mods and the results...

    Ultralight build picture thread

Re: Ultralight build picture thread Here's my lightest CF rifle. A very early LH Kimber of Oregon M84 chambered for the 6x47. Unknown stock manufacturer but it's stiff, perfectly shaped, and weighs 19.3 oz. Not a particularly skinny tube at .600" at the 22" muzzle. I'm certain the...

    Gunsmithing Rem-age VS Savage

Re: Rem-age VS Savage Which Criterion barrel contour are you looking at? Nearly all the ones in stock at NSS are far too fat for anything resembling lightweight or well balanced. I'd check out the Shilen offerings from NSS as well. I wouldn't go with a contour any larger than a #3 sporter. A...

    Gunsmithing Gotta love Brownells...

Re: Gotta love Brownells... Brownells is quite simply the finest firearms related parts supplier I've ever dealt with. Bar none. It is so refreshing to call them and speak with someone who knows a thing or two about the products they're selling rather than an ignorant minimum wage order taker.

Any 6mm-284 loads out there for the 115's?

Re: Any 6mm-284 loads out there for the 115's? Thanks 95. What kind of speeds were you reaching? I'm getting reports that the 115's are hit and miss regarding accuracy. All reports indicate that the 105's are consistently accurate. I'll likely be running N570, Retumbo, and Magpro.

Any 6mm-284 loads out there for the 115's?

I'm getting a 6mm-284 built for a LA Savage and am going to throat it to kiss the 115gr Berger H-VLD when seated to one caliber of shank/neck contact for an OAL of 3.097". Anyone have any 115 loads for this cartridge?

    Chronograph for $200 or less

Re: Chronograph for $200 or less Easily the best sub $200 chronograph is the Prochrono Digital. Buy the USB Connectivity Kit and you have a full function remote and a huge display. Used a SC Beta for years and it mostly frustrated me with all the missed shots. The PCD doesn't miss shots...

    Smaller capacity 6.5 or 6mm.

Re: Smaller capacity 6.5 or 6mm. I shoot, and prefer the 6x47 (6mm X .222 Rem Mag) to the 6x45 or the 6mm TCU. The 6x47 will push the 95 NBT to 2900 and despite the link above I think you'd have to be running 70K+ to push that bullet to 2900+ in either the 6mm TCU or the 6x47 with a 22" tube.

Savage Aftermarket Triggers? Help me out here?

Re: Savage Aftermarket Triggers? Help me out here? I presently have a Timney in my model 16 Savage and I like it just fine but it is no better than a tuned three screw or even a well tuned two screw. My stoned and honed two screw is one of the finest hunting triggers I've ever used. The...
