if you get a good grip on both action and barrel, they'll come apart, every time.....

I'm a bit slow, but the 41.4 load for example, how is it possible to have a 3 shot goup with a ctc spread of 0.197" and have any space between bullet holes ? None of the groups match the measurements.

I've got a mod 7 that the axis of the action screw threads and scope base threads are off by about 5-7 degrees.

Re: Remington black friday rebate. I got my notice today that they both (Dicks & Rem ) had been denied because I did not send the qualifying documentation. They BOTH required the receipt and the proof of purchase sticker. I sent the originals to Remington and photo copies to the Dicks...

Anyone use one? If so, do you get good alignment?

Re: Mod 700 popping top round Thank you Mike, I tried more and less spring tension, when I increased it, the problem got worse, sometimes the second round down would also pop out at the same time.

I've got a mod 700 BDL 7mmRM that pops the first round when trying to feed slow (before the bullet nose gets to the ramp). I took out as much spring pressure as I could, and now it feeds the round fast, but not slowly. Unaltered feed rails, box and follower. Am I overlooking anything?

Re: Horizontal stringing? I've had a chance to go over the rifle, and myself. we're both a bit to blame. I found the front screw loose, and for jollies I opened up the barrel channel from full length to floated. I believe the horizontal mainly was me. I also noticed no change in accuracy...

My Rem mod7 243AI tends to throw the heavier weights out in a horizontal pattern,107SMK's and 105Nos 600yds- 5 shots 3-4 wide and only 3/4- 1" vert. At closer ranges they often overlap exactly side by side. The lighter weights tend to group normal, 85tsx,90scenars and scirroco2"s. This is a...
