Re: What Element of Optics Design Gives "Full-Screen"? Which element? Correct answer is the limiting element, which dictates "aperture stop" better know as f/# (f number or f stop). In other words, whichever piece of optics limit your field of view dictates over all optical system aperture...
Re: NEW ZEISS 6-24X72MM, BALLISTIC CALCULATOR INTE SAM model. They were looking for US dealers at that time. I never actually followed thru to try to purchase it (Schmidt and Bender is $$$$ enough - I know what this Zeiss will cost at least twice more than S&B). I didn't have any LE...

Re: NEW ZEISS 6-24X72MM, BALLISTIC CALCULATOR INTE It comes with a pressure sensor, angle indicator, humidity, cant, and knob position (mil) all displayed INSIDE the scope - take that Barrett BORS. I saw this scope at SHOT07....funny how it got a little attention. Yes, the ballistic table can...
Re: Calling S&B PMII 3-12 owners My guess is that they do that to limit amount of light coming in. As FOV goes wider, more lights are coming in....which contrary to what other people think, too much light can be bad. Before you say that doesn't make sense, think about when you walk out in...
Re: S&B 12.5-50X56 PMII Saw it at SHOT. It's a nice scope that you probably won't have to buy spotting scope anymore. I didn't think there was a problem parallax going less than 100.
Re: S&B PMII Marine Corps model compatible with .300? Early adoption did have BDC for M118LR, MKII (50 cal), and also had mil tick marks under the BDC marks in the traditional DT turret that would go CCW.
Re: So...what's ur occupation? Electrical engineer by education, electro-optics system (defense) engineer by work.....yeah, I do a lot of optics in all wavelengths and the sights I work on see much further than Schmidt and Bender.
Re: For the new guys I'm glad you guys are taking time to help the newbies who wants to learn. It's such a vast field to learn because of the specialized and specific equipment to discipline to achieve the long range reach. It was an eye opening experiece when I ordered a barrelled action...
