Re: Rear Bag comparison Thanks Topstrap for showing your rear bags. I have been using sand bags, filled with rice not sand. They work but the oval design is a very good idea.
Re: Tactical Shooting sticks I use the Stoney Point Steady Sticks for hunting. They only go up to 39" high but are very light weight and come with a belt loop carrier. They are three section 14" when folded and open quickly with shock cords

Re: muzzle break options Check out Harrell,s Precision if you are going to have your smith install it for you. They are $30, CNC machined and are very nice for the money. See attached link to their web site. http://harrellsprec.com/index.php?crn=208&rn=385&action=show_detail

Re: Help me pick my m brake The JP Bennie Coolie do a very good job of reducing recoil and muzzle jump. I put one on an M1A and love it. I have one ordered for a Savage FCP-SR that is being held hostage waiting on background check for 7 days now.
Re: Safe dilemma, what would you do? Good choice on the safe. Once you have used the mechanical combo a few times you can open it very quickly. No battery to go dead when you need to open it.

I am looking for a muzzle brake for a Savage 10 FCP-SR. I have read that the Spiral brakes tend to be better for accuracy than the Tactical. I know they throw up more dirt but I want to get the most accuracy I can.
