I heard someone was making a single shot adapter allowing single loading of a Vudoo repeater. I also heard there were a number of models that did not work. Please let me know if you have one that works and how to contact the scource
Re: Now I see why no one sells thier atlas bipods I have both a Harris bench rest model and an Atlas V8. I have been shooting them alternately at 600 and 800 both from the bench and prone positions to see if I was getting better results with one or the other. So far I have not been able to...
Re: Suggestions on Spotting Scope Stands? I use a Freeland for both bench and f class with a Kowa 82 mm spotter. Heavy duty. Stable and works fine. I have the two leg model which is good for level ground but may not be the best for a slope. Comes with two poles and I cut one down to about 12".
Re: South Carolina Palmetto Gun Club in Charleston has ranges out to 800 ydss. Private club and membership required. Not really close to you if you are in the Midlands but really good/well run facility
Re: Shooting Chrony Chronographs? My Shooting Chrony has worked for 8-10 years without failure. The sky screens are yellow and brittle but they keep on working. I have no experience with any of the higher $$ units so I can't comment on the absolute accuracy of the Chrony vs Pact, CED, et al...
Re: Thoughts/Opinions on Chronographs +1 on Honas' comments........... also barrel harmonics play a role in accuracy and the best chrono can't read the harmonics. Believe the results on the target.
Re: Boots? If you have bad feet you need to try on and walk (even in the shoe store) to test for comfort. I know from experience the downside of buying boots mail order.
Re: Adjustable Cheek Piece? I test my loads from the bench and shoot everything else prone. I don't notice a change in POI between the two. If parralex is adjusted right you should be able to move some without changing POI. I do notice my natural prone position gets me a little closer to the...
Re: The Wind and My Sore Thumb Good info. I shoot regularly at 600 and 800. Two or three times a year I shoot at 1000. All on flat terrain where there is generally a readable mirage. I find that my wind reading at 600 is better than at 800 an way better than at 1000. Probably not a...
Re: Practical Tactical Practice - Avoiding Group Shots My printer also prints Lowlight's target at about 120%. Like it because I just became a bpetter shot
Re: 168gr + barrel length to 800 yards? I shoot 168 SMKs loaded to 2750 fps at 800yds in my 5R at 24". No problems and better groups and less kick than the 178s
Re: Group Shots Revisited I never rely on a 3 shot group. the 4th and 5th always open it up so don't want to delude myself at he range like I do in almost all other areas of my life
